One of the best (and few) liquor stores in the country. Great layout and well organized. I had an incredibly friendly sale rep walk me through the wine section and suggest the best options based on my tastes, all of his suggestions were right on.

Interesting place. Firstly, you do not need an alcohol license to buy alcohol here. They do have a very large selection of lower quality wines at a very good price, better than the bars and alcohol shops in other Emirates. Their selection of fine wines is much more limited. As to liqueurs, they do have a very wide range of the standard brands but nothing particularly unusual in my opinion. Good and worth a visit if you are having a party and want a large amount of alcohol but if you want the much higher end staff then you need to stick to the MMIs, A&Es and airport duty free.

Barracuda is a great place to get some beers. There is a huge selection of most popular beers here, and as a westerner,really reasonable prices too. Buy 6 or 24 packs of beers, single bottles of wine and all spirits. Smirnoff, jagermeister, Desperado, Guinness, Heineken, the list goes on. The only issue is that there is no refrigerator to chill the drinks, no problem if you are buying them to drink at home.

Overrated place. No guarantee on the quality of the liquor. Except for the most-sold items, other prices are on par with other emirates except Dubai (only due to additional taxes). Hier im kleinen Emirat Um Al Quwain gibt es wahrscheinlich den größten Wein, Bier,. Spirituosen (Whisky, Weinbrand, Rum, Wodka etc.) Einzel- und Großhandel in den Emiraten zu sehr günstigen Preisen. Oft noch preiswerter als in Deutschland, und vielfach günstiger als Duty Free . Die Präsentation und fachgerechte Beratung ist sehr gut. Auch im Emirat Ras Al Khaimah gibt es zum Beispiel im "Beverage Office" auf der Hinterseite der Al Hamra Mall, Jazira Al Hamra, offiziell Alkohol zu kaufen. Landesunkundige glauben meist, dass der Alkoholkauf und - Genuss dort generell verboten sind. Das trifft nur auf Sharjah zu, wo Alkohol sogar für Touristen in Hotels verboten ist. In Dubai und Abu Dhabi gibt es Alkoholkauschank - auch Bier Pubs - z.B. JA Ocean View, vor allem für Touristen und Residents in Internationalen Hotels . Einheimische brauchen m.E.eine Lizenz dort.
