Considering that its the only zoo in Dubai and has been around for more than 23 years, its good. But the way some big animals are caged is not really ethical as they dont have much space to move around. They should really try to move them to a much bigger enclosure because a place for educating people on animals and animal conservation should also be a place to teach them the ethical ways of treating animals. Apart from this fact, the place is well maintained and the animals are well taken care of.

Visited this zoo twice. What can I say, its a nice place to visit with your family but there are a few things Id like to add: The place is too small and the smell is pretty strong. Not so many animals to see. I would suggest to put the entrance fee not 2 but 10 AED and to keep the zoo much cleaner and bring a few more species of animals. Otherwise its a nice place.

Where do i start... From a westerners point of view, very alarming. Cages too small, conditions very poor, no crowd control (i pulled up one guy for throwing crisps to the baboons) and a lot of animals in poor health and showing signs of stress (many just doing laps around their small cages) At the lack of intvestment. The entry price is stupidly low, 2aed. Charge 50 aed and investment the money in maintaining the zoo up to a basic standard. Also, dubai has ample space....move further out so animals have space they need to roam. The lion pens were smaller than my bathroom!

A sweet and small zoo hosts some prized catches. A good place if you want to take your little ones for short time. You can go and come back within 2 hours. There is reasonably priced souvneirs shop. I hope Dubai Govt. opens the safari asap and transfers these animals there. Some awesome and even endangered animals trapped in small cages... Gorillas, bengal tigers, lions, leopard, ostrich, giraffe, orangutans, baboons, flamingos, many exquisite birds, reptiles to name a few, They deserve to live in better conditions. Zoo is stinky and very small. Saddened to see the animals in such a state.

Small, smelly...... Maybe there are numbers of reasons that you wont like it at all. However, it is a really cheap recreation place in Dubai. Only 2 aed for a walk with your child under trees, it makes maybe the most valuable 2 aed in this wealthy, money-for-every-move city. The best way to show kindness is Stop Going to Zoos and Circuses. Eventually they will shut down. I dont get "What kind of happiness we are getting from these cruel play" ? Some of the cats and other animals were kept in very small cages. It was unclean, smelly and a lot of flies. We visited the zoo with our 18month old. So we required 2tickets. I handed a Dhs. 20 note to the woman at the counter, and was expecting a change of 16 dhs as the tickets are 2dhs each. But the woman refused to agree that I had given her a 20 and insisted it was a 10.so she charged me 14dhs instead of 4dhs. VERY unethical. Was very disappointing overall!

Честно сказать, не впечатлил! Из JBR ехать на автобусе более часа ВНИМАНИЕ - это 36 остановок, и пройти весь маленький зоопарк за 35 минут со всеми причитающимися фотографированием, кормлением, наблюдением за животными, не стоит того. Здесь жалко даже не людей, а самих обитателей этого зоо.

В его тенистых аллеях можно спастись от жары и, если устали от прогулки, можно присесть на одну из многочисленных скамеечек и дальше наблюдать за животными. Дубайский зоопарк считается самым старым не только в Объединенных Арабских Эмиратах, но и на всем Аравийском полуострове. Построен он был бизнесменами в 1967 г. Мне больше всего понравились жираф, а также удивили страусы и гигантские черепахи))) А экзотическая птица мне напомнила Графа Дракулу -обратите внимание на ее залысины и багрового цвета глаза, а прекрасное жабо из белых перьев на черно-синем сюртуке только подчеркивает благородное происхождение...

Не большой, но уютный тенистый парк. Много животных самых необычных, например Мармазетка :))) теперь я видела воочию что значит это слово! Черепахи размером с мини-купер, фламинго.. есть на что посмотреть. Почти вся территория в тени деревьев, так что можно планировать посещение и в дневное время - в не очень сильную жару. До 12ти часов бывают часто школьные группы. Билеты стоят совсем дёшево вроде 2 дирхама или около того.. есть парковка, но совсем маленькая с местами туго. Вторник - выходной!
