Fantastic place to sip your cocktail. We enjoyed the atmosphere, very stylish and trendy. Nice guests with style (while we were there at least). The place is not cheep but it is very exclusive and gives that extra value which makes you feel it is really one of the greatest bar experiences of your month. I can highly recommend it!!!

Beautiful location and excellent service, but I would highly recommend not to eat. I never seen such sad, tasteless, and bland food in a high end hotel. We ordered a sampler of apatizers which were brough up on a nice tray. Burger was dry, hummus tasted old and had a smoky flavor with very hard chips on a side, tuna tartar was just ok, 2 remaining ones I dont even remember. Its a shame, we had such a nice day at the beach and enjoyed breakfast and lunch just be be finished with discussting dinner.

Really lovely bar - but alot quieter than the Gold27 bar. Better in the day as you cant see much of a view at night facing the palm and sea. the near bar Gold27 has the spectacular views of the city, with a young upbeat vibe, however it can be too stuffy for a non smoker.

Attended afternoon tea here at the Skyview bar as a special treat for my mum as it was her birthday. You do need to book in advance and is quite pricey, but was worth it for a special occassion, she loved it. We were lucky enough to get a table by the window , which we requested, to get an amazing view! The staff were very helpful and always asked if we needed anything. They have a wide variety of teas, which was nice.

We booked the afternoon tea experience over the phone, two weeks in advance. Got an email almost instantly with my unique booking number, which they instructed me to show the security guard upon entry to the small island on which the Burj is situated. We dressed up for the occasion, as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and were greeted very warmly by reception staff. You have to go up the escalator and then head right to the back of the hotel, to the skyview bar reception desk. The member of staff will take your name and then youre free to walk around the lobby. Make sure you return 5 minutes before the time they tell you to return. They send people up according to whoever arrived and checked in with the reception staff first. There were two couples before us and they got into the elevator hurriedly, which meant we were stuck just inside the door. Sounds bad? It wasnt. We decided that wed check the ceiling to floor glass window view of the elevator, on our way down. We were the first to exit the elevator and as such, first to be seated. Thankfully, my table request was fulfilled and the view was absolutely awesome. A waiter is assigned per table (or per two to three tables depending on how busy it is). We chose the 1pm slot and we recommend this since they seat further guests at 1:30pm and afterwards too. Those guests would find it difficult to have a window seat. We started the experience with two flutes of sparkling date juice (others can opt for champagne) and soft medjoul dates stuffed with walnuts and orange slices. The waiter told us that we could order any drinks (lots of different teas, coffees, iced teas/coffees, fresh fruit juices and soft drinks) at any time, as many times as we liked. He then served us a cut of meat (cooked medium to well done) with mashed potatoes, which was tasty. The finger sandwiches were ok and there was a selection of 5 different flavours. Thats 5 sandwiches per person and youre free to ask for more. I ordered the passion fruit iced tea and it was absolutely delicious and refreshing. Then we had some tea, the white peony tea was somewhat dry, but we enjoyed the lychee tea, which was subtle in taste but surprisingly nice. We were then served lots of different pastries and desserts. They were all fantastic! We asked for some more, which our waiter brought happily. We spent about 3 hours here and ordered around 8 drinks (both teas and iced drinks). The bill came to £229 for both of us. My tips: arrive on time at the hotel. Youre allowed access to the hotel 30 minutes before your booking time. Register your name with the sky view bar reception to ensure youre one of the first up there. Try the passion fruit iced tea and pace yourself between drinks and food. Youre able to order as much as you like, so dont feel shy to ask (our waiter although nice, did seem a little annoyed that we asked for more desserts). Ask for the table in the corner of the bar, overlooking the gulf and the beachfront. Definitely the best table in the house. Let the person taking your initial reservation know if youre celebrating a special occasion. Every person is given a box of chocolates and a Burj al Arab stamped pen. My wife was given a single red rose, wrapped in a velvety red paper. Nice touch! Another person celebrating a birthday was given a slice of cake with happy birthday iced onto it. Check out the toilet facilities. There isnt a view, but the decor is worth a look at. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and its definitely something to do, just the once, when in Dubai.

As you might see on the pictures, this doesnt look much like a 7 stars hotels bar. Its hugely overrated for a minimum spent of 350 dirhams per person. The desert was awful, cocktails were ok but definitely not worth the price. This being said there s a bar at the hotel, called Gold7, the decor is amazing, it feels luxury & it plays great music.

Sky Tea – an experience for life! My wife and I visited the world famous Bur Al Arab for afternoon tea at the Sky View Bar located on the 27th floor. This is a very expensive treat (AED 620 per person) but worth every penny! This is one of the most iconic buildings in the world and to see it from outside is great, but to visit and experience the hospitality and outstanding service is another thing! Book the 4pm sitting so you can admire the beautiful sunset. Book a window table (no guarantee so arrive early - 30 minutes before). The best seats are those on the right hand side of the restaurant with view of the coastline and towards Bur Khalifa (worlds tallest building). You have plenty of time to admire and take amazing photos in the outstanding lobby before/after the Sky Tea. See my attached photos from the Sky Tea area – and the lobby - and you will understand why I mean Sky Tea in this world famous hotel is worth every penny! Highly recommended!
