Hated the fact that I couldnt visit it. Was really looking forward to bask in the history of this glorious nation and learn about the culture and heritage. Travelled from Fujairah to learn that this place is being renovated. I really hope it is renovated soon and my 1 star review changes to 5 stars

Love this place, not huge but they do offer plenty of places you can watch shows and its friendly to walk round, your also not far from the creek and all the restaurants there.

I worked a summer job in 2005. Great place. You get to have an insight into how people around the area lived before the oil boom in the UAE. If you have not been there you MUST go. Especially in winter when the weather cools down.

Was a good place with a traditional market and live performance sometimes. Sadly closed. Diving Village has been demolished already. This is also in the process of partial demolition.

Part of the old Dubai has been renovated and the outcome is amazing. Visit to see the way Dubai was built. The Creek in its glory with a beautiful promenade which gets very crowded during the weekends.

Very good place to visit,lots of restaurants and cafe shop. There are some museums. Dubai municipality is renovating the heritage now,evening is a good time for visiting here for eating sth. Enjoy your self

Complete waste of time. The place is shut down for maintenance indefinitely. Nobody will actually tell you this though, and information kiosks and bus drivers were more than happy to let you wander to nowhere.

Great place to get your souvenirs. Be prepared for the aggressive sellers and make sure you barter. Never pay full price for anything here. Be sure to take the small boats across the creek to the spice souks as well.

This is one of my favourite places in Dubai and every tourist or resident should visit it. There is much to do and to see in this area, you will learn a lot about the history of Dubai. Children can hug camels and goats and you will see many traditional houses, old boats, and a few musea (not displayed yet in Google Maps). There are restaurants and traditional tents everywhere where you can sit and relax. Friendly staff will tell you more about what you see. The only thing is that it needs to be discovered. All travel companies should include this visit in their program!

Herencia de la ciudad… podría ser mejor Si bien es cierto se trata de un sitio que esta muy bien logrado, tiene representaciones de la historia, vivienda, barcos, armas, alimentación, trajes típicos y mucho más, es un poco… aburrido. Hay muchas figuras de cera que representan elementos estáticos, arquitectura en tierra muy bien logrados, pero no hay nada mas que hacer, aparte de dar el recorrido. Los accesos son adecuados para familias con niños de todas las edades, no obstante no creo que sea fácil mantener interesados a los más pequeños durante mucho tiempo así que una visita corta será suficiente. A pesar de que está incluida en los citytours normales, los mapas que usamos realmente no fueron muy adecuados y no encontramos el sitio con facilidad. Probablemente usando tecnología digital será más sencillo. A pesar de que esta muy bien construido, Dubai nos tiene acostumbrados a más, así que estoy seguro que este sitio se continuara mejorando cada día.

Crossing Borders

Heritage Village Dubai is een hele leuke manier om kennis te maken met hoe de vroegere bewoners van Dubai leefde. De mensen spreken slecht Engels maar een gesprek wordt gevoerd door gebruik van voeten en handen. Wij hebben dit als zeer interessant ervaren. En dan nog niet gesproken te hebben over alle leuke souvenirtjes en het lekkere traditionele eten wat ze ter plekken voor je maken. Zeker een aanrader! Let op de openingstijden en prima te doen met de metro!
