Good looking from the outside however its not worth the money to buy a ticket to go into the tunnel. Also they will take a photo of you however youll have to pay some other ridiculous price for that too. Overall very good buy quite expensive. Good for a one time go.

So its huge! As youd expect of course! And its in the middle of the Mall! They seem to have added more "paid" options since I was last there (which we didnt do) though I noticed there are bunch of youngsters there to sell you discounted tickets! But for a trip to the Mall its well worth swinging by to see the sharks!

The Dubai Aquarium and underwater zoo is well worth a visit if your in downtown Dubai. The aquarium is situated inside the mall, and as you would expect, its pretty big, well managed and very clean. Is pretty impressive as from the mall you can see into the tank, it has to be said that im not a fan of zoos or caging animals in anyway shape for form but the fish in the aquarium appear to be in h=good health and well looked after. The underwater zoo is also very good, the whole experience was very enjoyable and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The aquarium is ideally located by the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Fountains so its easy to fit all 3 attractions into an afternoon and evening.

Two floor tall wall of glass in middle of the mall it will surely take your breadth away. One you are inside you can see all the fish from the glass tunnel which goes through the tank. Most amazing experience tou can get.

Enjoyed exploring this place. It was good fun. The Aquarium can be seen from inside the mall without a ticket. We had a tour guide who took us through every step. Enjoyed the aquat boat, different sea creatures. The photograph company at the entrance are expensive but they do take a quality picture for memories.

This Aquarium (as many others) is sourcing its animals from the ocean, these are wild animals that have been captured to be exhibited in this zoo. These wild animals are supposed to be in the ocean, since they most of them migrate thousands of miles and where theyre free. Theyre not supposed to kept in a small tank for entertainment and profit. Even though this Aquarium say that their animals are ethically sourced, theres simply no way for them to know this, due to the long chain of suppliers. If you want to support animal cruelty, and think its ok to capture wild animals under dreadful circumstances, transport them around the world, still under dreadful circumstances, and exhibit them: Go ahead, visit this place. If you think not; do not visit this place. There are plenty of other excellent malls and hotels around.

Its pricey but in return you get to see more sea life (fishes, sharks, turtles, squid, crab, shrimps) and some wildlife (penguins, bats , owls, frogs, toads and two huge saltwater crocodiles) than most others zoos offer. There are different packages but we think the 100 AED package offers the best value. They even give you a look behind the screens and if you want you can borrow some diving gear and swim with the fishes. At first you may think there is only the underwater tunnel but after you exit this you need to go two floors up to continue the trip. They make photos of you during the experience but for 250 AED we thought that a bit too expensive.

Overrated and not the biggest in the world and definitly the more expensive. Dubai is in general just a show off and most things are said to be the biggest or best. Okinawa aquarium and about 1/3 of the price and much greater than the dubai mall aquarium. The theme park on the palm of Jumeirah is also a joke stating the biggest in Europe. Tenerife having a double sized facility for 1/10 of the price. Get your facts right Dubai! :@

The Dubai Aquarium is more than just the tank you can see from the Mall. You enter on the top floor, and proceed into the shark tank viewing area. Dont forget to go left though and experience the back stage tour (which hangs above the main tank) and the simulator, shark diving, boat tour etc if you have that package. You then wander around the rest of the well themed aquarium looking at various fish, otters, tortoises etc. If you go upstairs, then you can visit the creepy crawlies of the Arabian Desert, however there isnt anything to worry about with these as theyre not as bad as they make out - lizards, gerbils, hedgehogs, snakes, owls etc. You can then proceed to view more fish such as as seahorses, and then view King Croc and the Penguins before exiting through the store. You then proceed to the ground floor to go through the tank tunnel. Overall a good visit, and will take 2 - 3 hours to complete.

It started from the underwater tunnel for us and we did not expect more than it. But we were wondered on the second floor... You will see a variety of underwater wild life species from sharks and crocodiles to penguins and nautilus. By the way pick the package with boat. It is nice.

Really a excellent View from the Dubai Mall Itself The Aquarium is really huge and worth a Visit. It is in the Level 2 of the Dubai Mall and has a great view from outside itself. You have to be patient and spend some time to enjoy the real beauty. Ideally 1/2 hour to 1 Hour to get a whole glimpse of the Fishes.

Visit this aquarium and your expectation will change, it has 20k fish inside, you can go round the top of the aquarium in glass boat and see all the fish and feed them, don’t touch them or else they will bite. Defiantly worth it. You can buy ticket on the door on the day. Quite times are after 8pm

Mar 21: We had booked online for the Khalifa and Aquarium as a combo. Before going up the Khalifa, we visited the Aquarium. One starts by going through the tunnel and its quite a view. There is a tour as well where they tell you about the aquarium. We had visited the 2 Oceans Aquarium in Cape Town in December and that was a better experience. If one has not visited any aquarium, then one can go here or else skip the ticket price and watch some of the action from the outside.

You can see the giant tank from the outside, which is fabulous. Then if you want to pay to go in, you can walk through the tunnel and then on the 1st level, you can go in and they have a bunch of tanks in the back including a giant crocodile!

If you have an hour to spare and dont mind crowds and forking over a bit of money then this is worth doing. It is pretty impressive to view from the outside which draws everyone in. Once paying your admission the facilities inside are decent and you can see how much effort they put into keeping this a world class aquarium. Wide range of tropical, exotic fish and sea creatures which brings a smile to your face. Again, its worth doing if you can part with a decent amount of cash.

Amazing aquarium. You go through 3 floors to see the whole thing. Sharks and other big fish are found on the lower floor. Jellyfish, starfish, and all sorts of smaller fish are found on the upper floor. However, the price (100 AED per person) was a bit too much I think. Anyway, you only go there once.

This place is simply amazing just because it is located inside a shopping mall and in dubai where even drinking water is imported. You can see the aquarium from outside but not the zoo. It is a must visit place. Though it is small in area, it is not small in diversity consiting of a number of uncommon animals. You can get the details of animals by smart screens near each habitat.

We first thought its just the aquarium we walk past in the mall. How wrong were we! This place is huge from inside! In addition to the underwater tunnel there is a tropical forest-like area with fish, birds and amphibians from the Amazon, theres a nocturnal section with reptiles and insects that live in the UAE desert, a Penguin area, an Otters area, a monster Croc area and a boat ride on top of the aquarium where you can learn a lot more about the aquarium and the fish and shark species. You can even go on a shark feeding experience in an underwater cage.

The Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo is a unique attraction since it is located inside a very large mall. Its a fun and inexpensive experience specially for little ones. I liked the tunnel the most but my kid enjoyed the underwater zoo where the aquatic creatures are a little more up close and personal. If youre in Dubai Mall and you like sea life this is a must do on your list.

Unorganized starting from the ticket buying through the whole experience: 1- They had two lines one for cash and one for credit card payment which they dont tell me about until I am in the middle of the queue, and when I start the queue again the security guard brought other customers in front of the queue, and when I complained he said they were from the other queue! 2- After finishing the tunnel the line keep guiding us to the photo area all the way in the back then back again, despite having taking a photo before we enter!!! 3- when you finish from the tunnel and photo, you just exit the area, no direction what so ever, I had to ask where to go next, and I got a brief answer "go up", and when I went up I didnt find anything and I circled the whole aquarium looking for an entrance, so I went up another level to find the entrance 3- after waiting for 10 minutes in two more queues, I entered to meet with unfriendly guide who spent 5 minutes trying to collect the rest of the group (to be honest I didnt know she is a guide and I suspect others though so too) 4- after speaking for one minute (talking about shark feeding), she left without a word, I understand that we were suppose to go to the next guide, but people just scattered around again. 5- the area near shark eggs were to narrow to fit more than one person, which was to crowded with my two kids.

Great shopping centre but you cant really go past the aquarium. You can sit outside and be mesmerised by the fish or alternatively you can go inside and walk around or even scuba dive with the fish, although it was a bit pricey. The aquarium is pretty big, as is everything in Dubai. Most people tend to watch from the first floor where you can see a big part of the aquarium but if you want to so l see some of the fishes from closer you can get on the upper level and use the three windows there. The fishes seen not bothered at all by tourists and swim right inferring of the glass.

You can see its main attraction, the huuuuuge water tank (51 meters long - 20 meters wide - 11 meters deep) for free from The Dubai Mall (see separate review). However, thats not all to see. We booked the "Researcher Package" for 100 AED. It includes Aquarium Tunnel, Underwater Zoo, Behind the Scenes Tour and Underwater Observatory. Aquarium Tunnel: This is a tunnel beneath the aquarium you see in the mall. I loved it. You can see many animals quite close. However, the music was quite loud with way too much bass. And there was nearly NO information regarding the animals (maybe two signs...). It seems its more show than information, quite a pity. Underwater Zoo: Nice, but nothing special if you visited other big aquariums. It contains various fishes, frogs, baby-sharks, otters and many others. The "King Croc", the 7.5m (really?) long crocodile is quite impressive but I think its cage is way to small... Behind the Scenes Tour: Never had this in any aquarium/zoo, so I was looking forward to it. However, its disappointing: you are rush through a guide. He tells you some interesting things and than you rush to the next point. It took around 8-10 minutes and you dont have even enough time to read (the few) information signs they have. Otherwise it would have been a nice addition, but like this its only ok. Underwater Observatory: To be honest, I have no idea what part of our package that was. All in all a nice package if you enjoy aquariums. However I would love to see more information and less show.

Today I was at the Dubai Aquarium and spontaneously wanted to go for a Shark dive. Of course the prices are shocking, but this was not the most embarrassing. Im PADI AOWD and even EAX certified, last dive in May this year in Egypt, so just 6 weeks back. I use since 15 hours of dive a GoPro Hero HD, also for pool lessons, that I wanted to bring with me into the Aquarium. That was only possible, if I have the PADI photography speciality course, what nonsense. I tried my best to persuade, even had 10 hours of footage on my laptop to proof that Im not a goofy, but had no chance to get in as wanted, unless they make a video of me. Naturally I prefer myself to film what I find nice. So I had to leave the place. This is by far the biggest single disappointing (PADI) dive moment in my life.

El underwater aquarium and zoo se encuentra en el centro del gran centro comercial Dubai mall que es el más grande del mundo. Tiene un tanque de peces que puedes ver desde el exterior que mide 50 metros de largo,20 metros de hondo y 10 de altura. Los boletos van desde 55 aed (dirhams) hasta 110. Es común ver a bastante gente admirando los peces desde afuera del acuario sin tener que pagar el boleto. Compré el boleto normal de 55 Aed que te da acceso al túnel y exposiciones y la parte más interesante del acuario es el la de los pingüinos. Construyeron una zona fría para que los pingüinos estén o crean eatar en su habitat natural. Es una de las mayores atracciones de este gigante centro comercial y de la ciudad! Ya que nos muestra la sed de innovación que tiene Dubai. Es imprescindible ver el acuario aunque sea desde fuera ya que tienes que pasar por él para llegar a la mayor atracción del Dubai mall el burj khalifa.
