I have been going to this outlet for the past 8 or so years and highly recommend this place for a quick Japanese fix. The staff is generally friendly and efficient and the food is above average most of the time. Prices have been going up steadily over the time, but the Sumo membership card for regular customers helps save some . Reasonably good value for money.

Recently Sumo has committed to the global sustainability agenda established by the United Nations; all its outlets now serve Tuna that is responsibly sourced from the Maldives, taking the guilt out of eating certain dishes.The Sushi and Bento have the best sushi in UAE. I was invited to the media city branch. They served vegetarian sushi. I tried their different vegetarian sushis , mojito, ramen noodles and fried ice cream. My favorite was definitely fried ice cream. Overall my experience was great. If you’re looking for a delicious Sushi restaurant to host your family gathering or a casual outing with friends, look no further for Sumo Sushi and Bento is the place to be.

Great place, I think the sushi from sumo is far better than whats available at other commercial chains. The place is nice and light, good service and reasonable prices. My recommendation is the samurai roll as that is a little spicy and it has a good mix of flavours. All of the dishes I have tried are very well presented, generous portions and tasty. Im looking forward to trying the deserts one day, sumo should start operating in the UK it would do really well.

3* out of 5: the chirashi bento is just ok. i can appreciate the fish was super fresh, and not smelly, but overall there wasnt much difference in taste aside from the squid which was chewy & chalky.

Small and casual. Sushi is served warmer than it should be and thus makes you question its freshness. Too many fish eggs on rolls deters from the flavor. Juices have too many seeds. Service was quick though.
