I always liked IKEA. I have used it in the U.K., Qatar and now in Dubai. Dubai store is also equally good with the same service. The products are always easy to install and uninstall. On top of it they are very easy to use and safe for children. IKEA takes special care of children by providing kids play area. Entire family can enjoy because of restaurant with many options.

Large variety; almost a complete selection of things you might need to a new house or for renovating a house... Or even sprucing up an old house. Ikea offers home solutions for different styles and budgets. Since this place is really big you will need a few hours to spend here and if you get hungry their resturant is a must, they offer simple yet delicious food that suits everyone.

The POOREST customer service EVER! dont even attempt to shop online, because then you would have to chase the store to confirm your order (they might call you once, and god forbid, if you dont pick up the phone - these people never call back), and good luck to any customer of Ikea to reach the Dubai store. Operator never picks up (did you fire all of them or keeping just one person? I am really wondering why the shop cannot handle the amount of calls... Over several days Ive been waiting for 10-15 minutes on the line because either people do their job poorly, or there is not enough staff to handle the calls), Same happens with trying to call up the delivery to double check the time (although they are the ones who should call you to confirm the time, but ooops! - they never do). Im living on the other end of town and I already went personally once all the way to the shop to just confirm my order. Whoever manages the shop has zero idea what customer service should be and how it should work. Very very pool... I think I am going to write to Ikea quality team worldwide, because seems like they only put their name and logo on, bring in the goods, but have no control over how the services are delivered to the customers. Dubai store really puts a shame on such a big and well-known company,

Warning: Taxis do not carry large items, you might need to consider delivery or book a large vehicle, bigger than the normal taxis.

While the showroom is massive and offers great choices , there are dozens of hidden charges that will affect your experience here. Starting from the taxi stand where the taxis start with a 12 dhs fare rather than the usual 5 (apparently its the mall policy and they wont let you get into a taxi that comes to drop people off) ; to so called private cabs that charge 50 dhs to go to deira city center mall which is a few minutes away. The craziest charge is the cost of delivery and installation if you buy a bed , then you better pick it up yourself in its assembled form and take it to the cash counter. Else thats a 100 dirhams extra. Unless you have a car of your own , its not worth buying here

Ikea is my all time fav shop but its biggest problem is that you can only enter from one side upstairs in order to get to the downstairs section. Sometimes I come to pick something up quickly but I end up spending a whole hour. It also has one exit and one toilet only which is also inconvenient.

A good place for affordable home tools and furniture , The self service though was very confusing and tiring to me , and it causes a lot of mistakes and missing parts , Luckily last time I was there theyve improved their service where you can just give the customer service a paper with the items that you want and they would collect it for you and deliver it to your home with a little bit of extra fees. they have also express second day shipping for extra fees but you have to ask for it .

Going to Ikea is an experiance i have to say here is few points I want to say: Pros 1. Great selection of products you can find almost everything here 2. Some of the products are actually solid and have high quality 3. Prices are reasonable Cons 1. The shop layout is absolute disaster there is one entrance and one exit this is horrible If i am here for quick shopping i will have think twice.. it is crowded in small space Most customers are just browsing which is ok but open the area up.. it gets to the point where your AC cant keep up with amount of people and thats not a joke i have experienced it So free your day because you will spend half of it in this maze 2. Staff availability is poor, you have to walk and search everywhere in that maze for staff 3. Delivery timing is very slow 4. Cashiers are very slow, with this amount of traffic flow you have you should be faster in finishing up with clients scanning takes forever and just swiping your card takes forever. Conclusion Prices are reasonable good spot for people who just moved in to new home, expect to be late, extremely bad layout, cant handle high footfall and deliveries timing are not that great Thank you for reading my review

One of my favourite shop to visit. The place is very large. If you have a specific things to buy, best is to have a plan ready. Otherwise you will spend a lot of time walking around there. Good exercise though. The food at the canteen also amazingly cheap and good. Highly recommend Salmon dish.

Most horrible service Ive ever experienced!! Since 12 days we are waiting for a table now. When it first arrived it was broken and they took it back. Now, their service hotline is always busy or no one is picking up even after letting it ring for 10 minutes!! What kind of service is that?? Really diappointed. Also that they charge for everything and delivery is not free unlike in other countries after spending a certain amount. Good, that there are many other and better options for furniture in Dubai. IKEA? Never again!

Great shopping experience every time no fail. Post sales service is great. They allow a month for refund or exchange. Have a great restaurant with healthy delicious food, that offers free hot drinks on workdays for IKEA family card holders(not including Friday and Saturday). I love it, but hate going there on the weekends, as it gets really crowded. If u still decide going there on Friday or Saturday, you might consider parking outside.

Very unhelpful and unfriendly staff. Went to this store to purchase a new mattress. After testing a few mattresses, I wasnt sure which one I should choose so I went over to a sales person that was dealing with someone at the time. I patiently waited for him for about 20 mins. After he finished with the customer, he walked away. I went over to him and told him Id been waiting for him for 20 mins and he mumbled something and walked away AGAIN. A short while later, I saw the same guy gisting with another staff member nearby not attending to any of the customers. I walked to the nearby counter in the same section and asked for the manager and the guy there said everyone is a manager and turned away. I went to the exit and asked a lady for the manager but they all seemed unable to locate or identify any manager. They also seemed to have no idea of the process or any reason why I would want to complain about the horrible service. Finally, the lady told me to walk somewhere to the end of the exit to look for someone and I walked out of the store. Coincidentally, as I stormed out, I saw Pan Emirates Furnishing across the same floor so I went in there. I was greeted like a valuable customer as soon as I walked in, was helped and eventually purchased the mattress there. When a brand believes youre not worth their time, then theyre not worth your money. Take your wallet and get moving to the next brand! Ikea has definitely lost a customer!

IKEA KITCHEN NIGHTMARE. The furniture is good HOWEVER the IKEA home delivery department are completely useless! There are also some serious communication issues between departments and within. On the first day of scheduled delivery and assembly which we had scheduled 2 weeks in advance, the builders dropped off the IKEA boxes and left to have lunch because "the kitchen wasnt ready for them". When I showed up at site 20 min later, magically everything was ready (floor tiling, electricity, etc). They called during their lunch break informing us they would only come back the next day to finish the job. After we refused this, they came back to start the assembly and were about 40% finished by the time they left few hours later. On the next day, NO ONE SHOWED UP to finish the job. We spent half a day being on hold with IKEA trying to figure out where is the team. The following day was the weekend so clearly no one was going to come then either. We were then told that they would schedule to finish the assembly a week later!!! Though after several hours on the phone we have managed to schedule someone to come in and finish the job after the weekend only to be surprised that when that day came the team was scheduled for only 30min which was clearly not enough for them and I mentioned this to the Supervisor on the phone who thought he knew better. The new team was also confused by this and left after 2 hours without finishing the job again. So, here we are 5 days later after IKEA delivered our kitchen but never finished to assemble it... Spending hours on the phone AGAIN to reach out to someone who can help... Not to mention the designer Saeed who was helpful but unfortunately forgot to include the correct number of cabinet legs so apparently that was the reason they couldnt finish the job on the first day. We went to IKEA ourselves to get the missing items only to find out they did not have them in stock in the shop but we were assured the team will bring it with them the following day (the same team that never showed up). Or a man called Alister from Home & Delivery dept who promised to call back to update us on the issues but never did. Now, when we called IKEA again, they just said that there are no more dates scheduled to finish the job..... ummmm do they expect us to finish the whole kitchen ourselves? IKEA are just confused and un-organized (completely opposite of Swedish work ethic). They have no communication between departments or within. They promise to call us back with a solution but they never call back. Its as if IKEA dont even want to help us after the mess and headache they put us through. I know IKEA furniture is not expensive but when I pay AED 20k, I believe there should be a certain level of customer service or at least a courtesy to follow up and update us on the dates that we will have our kitchen complete. Long story short, if you decide to buy a kitchen from IKEA, be prepared.

Welcome to Ikea, its the standard layout of Ikea with the weekend crowds so be prepared. Just a warning though the cost of things are higher than what you find in Ikea compared to North America and the selection is smaller in the kitchen cabinets options. On the flip side cost of installation is reasonable so its a no brainer and more than reasonable. You can do it yourself but for the price you do better things with your time.

One of the first places people from the Philippines bring their friends to. It goes like this, you get your breakfast at the cafeteria inside IKEA, the mushroom, egg, tomato, sausage, and a drink, then you go inside the showroom once it opens and take pictures until you reach the counter, now youll notice not a single furniture was bought but still would line up to the counter buying some small stuff so that it wouldnt like you didnt buy anything. Great place to take pictures and bond!

Very disappointing, The lady at the cashier was in sever pain and she was taking long time to serve customers during waiting for about 30 mins and one was sent to take over .. 5 counters at the home delivery area with 2 staff working only, had 12 people before me 3 upset customers were shouting while I was writing and I was the forth one Shopping took 30 mins paying took 30 mins and requesting delivery more than 1 hour and 10 minutes 2 hours and 10 minutes in total could have been saved if all items are available on line but they are not I asked to file a complain, the in charge gave me a piece of paper and said she will submit it?????? No official way to complain Another staff said if you complain, we will be in trouble. Seriously? After a big scene , it turned out that they have more staff but not where they are supposed to be .. Behind the counters. In charge name Saima Sabir, less than useless Well done IKEA .. Now I know why youre cheaper than other places

I was promptly called to confirm the order and delivery date (about 7 days). No problem. I needed to add 2 small tables to the order and could not get through to anyone by phone. I therefore went into the store and purchased the 2 pieces myself the day before delivery. On delivery day the men came with my order and assembled it. Do you know they refused to assemble the tables because they werent a part of the delivery!?? Attempts to call customer service while the men were here was futile. Very disappointed...

The worst customer support I have ever experienced in my life. The local number never get answered. If at all you are lucky that it does, the onward call transfers & responses are way too pathetic, to put it mildly. I booked an item to be home delivered & which they promised to have delivered on a given date. Despite repeated follow-ups for 3 days post the committed delivery date, there has been no progress on the delivery. Each & every person who answers the call, promises to revert back after checking & thats the last time you will hear from them. Absolute lack of ownership from all of the personnel answering the calls. The store should be renamed YIKE instead.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE isnt enough to describe their compete disregard for what ikea offers. This can clearly be understood when they dont even have a dedicated number for customer. I have visited the store 3 times, speak to the manager, junior manager and supervisor of home delivery and call 100 times (90% unanswered) and still cannot manage to get ikea to assemble ONE item. Besides this their "managers" attitudes are quite rude and all they do is offer fake promises to get u off their backs. Very very disappointing!!!

Well, we pay for the furnitures but not for the customer service. There is no word for the "Customer Satisfaction" in terms of this store. As the most of people said, the phone call was never answered may be one in millions of chance. The delivery was not made as promissed. Basically, you are on your own. It would be better if you can browse the IKEA web site first and order on line because also hopeless to get an assistance on the spot by the staff. I just went to the store to confirm the size, color etc once and placed an order because I dont really want to deal with this kind of hussles. Even though after I placed an order, they called if they can stretch delivery time and the lady employee hunged up the phone very rudely when I refused to do so.

Good products, worst customer service. I furnished several apartments and villas from IKEA. Customer satisfaction seems to be the lowest priority there. Delivery and installation is a nightmare. They tell you it takes two weeks, but they just cancel your delivery order, when you complain, theyd simply put you in line again to wait for 2 additional weeks. Three customers were standing in line complaining about the same thing. And so many observations that made shopping at IKEA the worst shopping experience ever.

I have an allergy to pepper (black, red and white) The last time I went to Ikea cafeteria, I asked, as I always do, if there was pepper in the various dishes. I was told there was none. I chose the salmon, which, when I started to eat it, set off my allergy! When I complained, it appears there WAS pepper in the salmon. They did make up a meal for me without pepper, which was good. I went again today, asked the same question with the new menu. Virtually everything has pepper in it! Even the salad! The only thing available without pepper was fried prawns in batter. Why does pepper need to be added to everything? There are pepper pots on every table! Why cant people add pepper as they choose? Even food from the shop seems to be covered in pepper! Once it is in, you cant take it out!!!

The worst experience in my purchasing. Not on time, not assistance from back office, no cares of customers. It could seem really excessive but trust me, I could not image so bed professipnality from them. I bought 1 bed, 1 sofá, 1 dinning table, 2 bed side table. 1st day they arrived with 2hs and half on delay. Nobody advised me from the office and to talk with them was almost impossible by phone ( they dont answer). Bed bases were missing, dinning table and ine bed side table damaged. They told me that was not possible to change in the same day, may be1 or 2 days later. They think that we are waiting for them at any time... I went to ikea store to ask esplanation and to find a bed where to sleep. They dont care if you cannot sleep. After very bed discussion at 11 in the night they delivered only the bed bases. We agreed to receive the other damaged furnitures few days later. On the agreed date, I expected the delivery but it did not come. I called and they told me that delivery was posticipated one day later without any advice. You can image my humor with them. They compensated with some voucher for ikea restaurant, really famous for food quality!!! I asked to have vouher for the store but it was not possible. This is real assisyance!!! The day after they delivered only dinning table and not the bedside table!!! If you dont trust Ill not complain, it seems creazy. At the end I advise you to not trust in their professionality and customer assistance. This is the first time that i give so bed feedback but everithing has really happen to me. I hope that you will evaluate really good before to decide to buy staffs from ikea dubai.

Try calling Ikea - many times! ... always rings through, that is NO ANSWER!!! This has happened several times and when I complained to the Store Manager several months ago, he said that they were putting more people on to fix this problem! ... guess what? ... nothing has happened!!! 25 minutes on the phone waiting on more than 4 occasions warrants an investigation by Ikea Customer Relations in Sweden! Very poor third-world service by a first-class first-world Company! ... Two months later ... and Im still kept waiting on the telephone! The training of the telephone receptionists must be by the same group that trained the Chinese water torturers! The guys who run Ikea in this part of the world should be tested by Head Office and have their futures reviewed! Keith Najar

had been there from 2007 ,it was 4 dirhams for the breakfast, you would get 2 sausages+scrambled egg +hash browns +kidney beans ,was shocked to see a wave of crowd on a Friday morning in IKEA ques 100 m long and i thought the buffet breakfast is reduced to 3 dhms but no, its raised to 14 dirhams, to add on any addition like beef bacons,cheese bread( they were yummy)extra bread, jams, butter sachets all are chargeable,had to stand for 1.5 hours to get my plate and fill in with items for my family, still its a refreshing breakfast quite heavy and nutritious ,note one thing sorry i forgot of mushrooms and cheese sticks its extremely filling beware of small size try small quantity
