peter dassOne of lifes essential leadership skill is the art of apology....by DHL - DHL -DHL !!! Sent a one page document by DHL paying Dhs. 210 as opposed to a regular 15 buck delivery we get at our office because they assured it would reach destination before 6 pm, which is what I required, however the document could not reach before 9:30 pm and clearly it did not serve the purpose. Being a professional organization, their customer service manager called the next morning to ask how was the experience !!! what do you say to that now ?? upon narrating the entire story and he said in fact he had called in to apologize, upon asking if my money will be refunded he said No but I apologize for the problem caused to you. I asked if the apology served me any purpose, he said he did not know but I am calling in to apologize. I asked how is he making up for my loss and the money I paid and he was nice enough to say hes sorry. I must say DHL is making great efforts at cultivating sentiments within its customer base and hiring people with apologetic skills of saying sorry rather than the adequate skills of handling logistics. In these rude times where an apology is difficult and sentiments seem to be from a distant planet altogether, its heart warming to know that there is an organization which fills that void for the love craving, emotionally starved souls like myself. I present to you DHL !! WHERE YOU GET PAID IN APOLOGIES and SORRIES ! I plan to work up the ladder to be among their preferred list of clients - you never know if they default enough, I might have something in store for the next Valentines and if I am agitated enough I might just be promoted to I love you

Dan KentI will never uses DHL again, and have informed my company of my experiences and they are now intending to go with other delivery services. After sending my personal boxes to several countries other than where they were supposed to go, my boxes finally arrived in Dubai one month after leaving Singapore (air freight mind you). To make matters worse, all 4 boxes were severely damaged (one box dramatically taped with DHL tape to keep it together). Customer service was a joke. Took no responsibility at all. So many other couriers out there...try them instead of this pathetic organization.
