Loved the food but people are in a hurry to grab your seat. Personal experience: I got up to get a soft drink when I came back I found someone else was sitting there and didnt even care to get up seeing my wallet, phone along with plate. It was really disturbing. Other than food was awesome!

If you are looking for fresh fish ( ONE KIND of the local Verity "Sheeri") and shrimp this is one of the best tasty food. Its very basic place your wooden chairs, melamine plates and stainless steel serving dish with your plastic spoon and fork. Boiling tap water to wash your hand using diluted soap and to finish it dry your hands with Paper tissue. No menu just head straight to the counter pick the size of the fish you like pay by weight and sit down. When your fish is ready it will come with white rice( inferior quality) lemon, sliced onion and shredded cabbage. Enjoy

Best place for a casual fish and shrimp eat-out. Food is ordered through a window after a waiting in a line that grows out to the street as the day goes by. The seasoning used is a little bit spicy and the flavor builds with every bite. I recommend their fried shrimp. They call you out by name and deliver your order to the table. Pricing is fair, not as much as some of the other seafood restaurants in the area. Negatives are: Outside seating and wobbly chairs but the experience my family and I have had at this place almost made me forget about that. Best time to eat here would be in winter or when the weather is below 40. If you can handle humidity, then just after 5 should be perfect any day of any season. Expect to wait at least 30 minutes for your food.

Luv it! Just hate fighting the local cats. They feed cats and so they harass customers. Walking under tables. Meowing and purring around you. It makes it hard to get comfortable. Yet I kept going back. The on the spot cooking of your fresh picked out fish and shrimp is great. Get the pink fish. Its amaZing! Be prepared to stand in an unnecessary long line. Its worth it!

I had been there countless times and was disappointed not even once... Be it the rice + fish curry + fish fry @ lunch time; or the fish biriyani of Friday afternoons; or the trademark dishes of the evening Hamour fry or prawns fry... Never had a bad experience in terms of quality or taste of food.... BTW, reducing one star for the wait period... ☺

Best location in Dubai for fried fish and fish curry. They allow you to choose fish based on type and size, must try! Their fish curry is very different in taste. Good location. Beware of Long queues as its famous with locals and tourists.

Ive been to the place today after more than a year and I was hoping their quality has improved but sadly its become bad. The prawns used to taste great and smell great and now its like over cooked burnt. Takeover also takes a lot of time and they still call out peoples names instead of using some kind of token based system.

Food is great! Service, not so much. It attracts a large crowd from very different backgrounds. The waiters, however, tend to treat everyone as a regular and assume new customers know their ordering system. When walking in, if every table says "reserved" do not panic. They place the signs to avoid people sitting before they have ordered. Overall a good place to eat, not so much a good place to hang out. Prices are decent, around 75 AED per person for a full meal.

An amazing place for a casual dine out. Close to the sea bank with a nice view of Jumeirah sea side. You cannot avoid the queue to order every time you visit this place. The fish n shrimps in offer are always fresh. The staff is a bit cynical, it could be ecause of the amount of people that visit this place. I love this place and i try visit as often as possible.

Fish and prawn fry. Thats it. The menu. One can choose their own fish which is bought as per the size and prawns as per the weight and all pre marinated. The chefs deep fries it for you to enjoy with either rice, Kerala poratta and fish curry. Its pretty crowded during weekends. Try the weekdays for these fried fish. I personally like to have it once in a while.

Oh those shrimps and fish! I always have Bu Qtair on top of my list whenever I invite my wife to dine out. Theyre just amazing. Dont forget to come early as the place gets extremely busy especially on weekend nights. The staff are prompt and nice. Water and soft drinks are cheap. Prepare to spend around 150 dirhams for 2 people.

I dont understand what all the hype is about this place. Menu: Spicy Fish or Spicy Shrimp. Choice of sides: Bread in a plastic bag, or rice on a plastic plate. Everything deep fried and over cooked. Prawns like rubber, fish dry and way overcooked. Flavor is not bad, but the texture is awful. On top of this the place is filthy. The glass windows did look like theyd been wiped over in the last year with an oily rag borrowed from a neighbouring boat mechanic. Glass top tables were the same. And 120AED for one serving of fish and one serving of shrimp with rice. Pass.

I have been visiting Dubai for 10 years and this is one of the first places we visited for food. Its used to be located over the road in a small years in the fishing area, now it is found in its own purpose built restaurant. The quality of food is still the same and the service is still good bit now the is a much more attractive outdoor/indoor seating area, with less stay cats (less, not none). The menu is small, intact probably the smallest Ive ever seen; curried fish, curried prawns, thats it. But they say small menus make for great dishes, thats definitely true at Bu Qtars as both the fish and prawns are delicious. I recommend the red snapper if there is any left! Ensure that you sample the curry sauce and the bread as these are both extras but you will not be disappointed, expect the bill to be around 200dhs for 2-3 people sharing a fish with a pile of prawns and the extras and drinks. This is a must visit attraction in Dubai.

You get a choice of Sherry or Hamour which is marinated in chili powder and salt, the fishes are deep fried which is almost burnt and the outer skin becomes hard, whereas the inside is tasteless. The same goes for the prawns, it is rubbery as its over cooked when deep fried. I was very disappointed and realized that its just the media, FB hype only. You are better off in small restaurants in Karama which serves excellent/flavorsome fish. However if you like the beach ambiance and the smell of ocean and dont mind burnt fish which is tasteless, then you are in the right place. Caution: the prawns are overpriced, keep an eye on the weighing scale, which displays the price. Or you will be shocked when the big guy tells you the overall price (dont expect receipts or bills. Its cash only) Will I go there again: a big NO.

Which kind of that fish, I still dont know after ate, I have asked waiter but he answered me big fish or make fish... 3. Cheap price but delicious, dont order too many shrimps(too dry) but order bigger fish instead(still juicy inside) 4. Świetnie przyrządzona ryba oraz krewetki. Bardzo dobrze użyte przyprawy. Polecam każdemu kto chce zjeść naprawdę dobrą rybę i krewetki (pikantne tak jak lubię!). Należy pochwalić oryginalny sposób zamawiania posiłków.

مطعم مأكولات بحرية قديم جدا بدبي.... كان قبل بكارافانات وحاليا جهة البحر بمبنى. أكله لذيذ جدا وحار إذا ما اتحب الحار خبرهم قبل الطبخ. وعندهم صالونه سمك عومه مع براتا لذيذ. طبيعة الأكل ملباري تقريبا لكنه أكله طازج يومي ولذيذ... عنده روبيان وشعري وهامور وفرش... وطريقة الطباخ نفس الشي ... مقلي ... إذا انته بدبي جربه مرة.
