Lovely atmosphere and great service! They go full in with the them, lots of live entertainment done by the waiters. The food was great! Had oxtail and it tasted amazing! Certainly recommend it!

As a South African in dxb i had to have the Oxtail... for AED185 I absolutely loved... meat dripping of the bone served with mash potatoes plus an added benefit of having the live drums and dancing in the background... vibe was good... food was excellent and service brilliant by a South African.. well done!

I had South African sirloin and my husband had the US one and both were good. I liked what the waiters were wearing and the decor in general however it is a bit too dark inside. My main issue was the chair! It was so uncomfortable.

I was treated to an afternoon out by a South African friend who was raving about Tribes and its African (South African) origin. Unfortunately I was not hungry so only had a beetroot and avocado salad which was enhanced by the honeyed walnuts. The service was good and friendly. The restaurant itself appeared dark and had an African type atmosphere. My friend had soup, spring rolls and garlic bread which looked good and tasted good. Looking at the menu, I saw some familiar South African meals, but doing a fast calculation - ouch, the prices were a tad bit expensive. The restaurant was busy and well patronised, so definitely a favourite eating place for many in Dubai. My cappuccino was cold so that made it not enjoyable.

I ordered steak with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables with sallad as starter. It took 20 min for sallad to arrive and 10 min for meat. I received well done although I ordered medium. This was quickly corrected by the polite staff. My visit took an hour. Very helpful staff.

The food was good, nice fresh meat , could improve on the potatoes , they look much tastier in the menu, oxtail was nice and sweet and goes great with the mash potato. Nice place to go out for a evening , little pricey around 250AED per person if u want to try somthing special . Service was excellent though and server Ericson from dubai mall was really impressive

Went in for some Steak and was not disappointed!! Yes, it may be a bit pricey, but it is absolutely worth it!! The Smocked Chicken sald was fabulous and really recommend as starter. The 400g Ribeye was really perfect, tender and juicy. It was cooked perfectly and as requested medium-well. The Peri-peri Prawns was okay however it wasnt spicy at all. The guys down there preformed an African dance during our meal, which was new to us. Definitely will be coming back again, if I got a discount coupon ;-)

Absolutely love this restaurant atmosphere. They have tasty burgers . Although the wagayu burger is pricy, but it is so worth it. The rest of the menu is fine. But the burgers are the favorite.

Tribes was an awesome experience since we are meat lovers. Although, it is very similar to Chamas that we have tried earlier but the flavors are more African than Brazilian. I would recommend Tribes – Carnivore for the meaty experience and stuffing yourself for the whole day!

I like how completely is different place. It shows the african culture from the interior design, seating area, the food selection, gow the waiters dress up. The food was tasty and the quantity were enough. The way they present the food is great. And we had fun time when they start singing and knocking drums.

from my personal experience, best place for small birthday dinners. they have nice dancers and songs. their food is just good, and their staff are reallly friendly

For a mall restaurant, its not bad but it is very dark inside and the waiters are over the top with their friendliness. Although I appreciate good service, they are a bit too in your face. Most of the food is mediocre, but with the Entertainer discount, it is worth going. Id recommend the roast chicken dishes.
