Each time Ive been to Movida, the music just gets better. The DJ always make sure to review the crowd and play accordingly (which makes it enjoyable rather than listening to what the DJ wants to play). The service is usually good. The only problem with the location is the parking issue. Make sure to arrive early to avoid dissapointment.

*****RACIAL/PREJUDICIAL PROFILING***** I am a British events manager and I went to Movida on Friday 26th August and felt that I was subject to either Racial Profiling or a Prejudice profiling by the woman on the door - she said her name was "Shervana/Chervana". A friend of mine had booked a table. In order: 1. She asked for the table name - I gave it to her. 2. Then she said that we were "too casual" - however before I travelled from JBR to downtown I rang up Movida confirming what the dress code was. Not to mention that I saw many people get in that were WAY more casual than I was. 3. She asked a member of my party to come down from the table to the door to verify that I was a part of the table. 4. I showed pictures of my friends that had got in 5mins prior. 5. When my friend came down from the reserved table in Movida, she then went on to say that if she let me and 2 of my friends in then the table price would go up 6000aed. It was just excuse after excuse after excuse. Whats worse is that everything that she asked of me, I supplied. If that is not racism or prejudicial, I dont know what is. From the start she decided that we were not going to get in, with no real reason. Movida management should really look into making sure that their employees are doing their jobs properly. Quite frankly it is disgusting and I felt very insulted. Had she said from the beginning, something along the lines of "unfortunately the dress code is smart casual" (even though, as I said before, I was better dressed than people she was letting in - opinion) from the start I would have been fine with that. But to string someone along for 45 minutes, especially when I was giving answers to all of her questions and to try to make an extra 6000aed when my friends have already got a table, is appalling!! Its a shame that she is ruining the reputation of your club, and stopping people coming in that are willing to spend money (and are already spending money on a table)!!!!!!!!

Yeah maybe it is good club to spend time with friends but had the worst experience of service from their hosts at the main entrance. Booked a table 3 days before the said date and even confirmed it with the "VIP HOSTESS-Elena" on the very day of our supposedly bday celebration at movida. Apparently she sent us a msge through whatsapp that our booking is confirmed though she was unsure in the beginning due to hving RICK ROSS that night but still confirmed with us. Once we reached and said our booking reservation, they checked all our ids and scrutinize our outfits then made us wait like fools without even a word. Having to wait there in front of the queue, they accommodated other customers just like that and still we are waiting. after quite sometime they said to us that they cant find our booking?! Then when we asked again to check again. Then they said cant let us in, no tables left and we are wearing the wrong attire which is casual. But they still let customers in wearing NOT casual clothings. Regardless of it all, clearly they have no sense of good customer service as what one of us told to the "manager" why ddnt they just say it at the beginning properly rather than keeping quiet and letting us wait there for 30mins to an hour! There too was a discrimination. Completely dissatisfied! Not only my group but for those they let down without even giving proper explanation but an arrogant face and twisted attitude.

Very nice, but the dj should learn to play the songs longer than just 30 seconds drifting to the next one. Shouldnt always use remixed songs. Original songs would sometimes be more appreciated !!!
