Very nice place to spend a few nights. Check in is at 2pm and theres free breakfast if you arrive early like I did and nobody minds if you hang around the common spaces until your room is ready. Modern spaces and a youthful atmosphere, tech resources easily accessible. Excellent location! Wonderful!

Excellent modern hostel located right by Dubai Old Town and many of the main tourist attractions. Friendly and helpful staff and great events organised for tourists. The kitchen was a great place to relax in the evenings before heading into city.

I stayed at the hostel 6 nights and during this time staff started to do breakfast (very good and tasty breakfast). I met new friends (Hi Kumar and beautiful manager Liza) and they helped me to do all plans in Dubai. Also, beds are really really comfy and AC worked well. Cleaning every day and cleaner so kind. He cleaned kitchen and bathroom every time after someone take a shower! He said that hes working here because of good management and salary. Hostel near biggest metro station in Dubai, near Old Town and near shopping malls. All touristic places just in 30 hour from hostel by walk or by public transportation. I saw Burj khalifa from the window by the way ;-) Guest room so bright and people there very friendly. It was AMAZING experience. For real backpackers, for real travelers, for you!

There were some really great people here... But yikes, good luck finding it... And the building its located in is in such a state of squalor Im sure some folks never even make it upstairs. No security. Doors all unlocked and unattended in the middle of the night.

I demanded 5 bedspace in the same female dorm room but when i checked in with my friends i was given only 3 bedspace in female dorm room and one bed space in mix dorm room. Valerie was not there and when intried to contact him, he was unavailable. Because of all this i had to share my bedwith my friend as we all wanted to be in the same room. This was totally not expected. When i asked for something and i paid for that thing i am supposed to get it. But i was just not satisfied with my stay at that place.

Short Version: This place was terrible, dont try to stay at this hostel. I dont know how this place got such good reviews. The entire experience was horrendous. 1) Wrong Address on Google. It is NOT the place in the pictures. 2) Staff member who I spoke to on phone gave me a DIFFERENT wrong address. 3) Extremely rude, unhelpful, and apathetic staff members, I couldnt believe it. 4) place was super hot. 5) There were big bugs all over the kitchen and utensils, etc. 6) My bed wasnt ready, and the staff member handed me crumpled up sheets and told me to make my own bed. Long and detailed version: 1) the address on google is not up to date. So I paid for an uber there, got to the address listed and sure enough they werent there. 2) I called up to get the right address, and the guy on the phone gave me a DIFFERENT wrong address. 3) When I finally got there, I was told by the extremely rude and unhelpful staff member that they dont take card, only cash. So I had to walk 10 minutes to the closest ATM. As I was leaving the building I met a girl staying at the hostel that the rooms are listed on Airbnb as well, so I can book through there and use my card, instead of having to go get cash. So I went back upstairs and said I want to do that. For whatever reason he didnt know which airbnb listing it was, so he couldnt tell me. Then he informed me that theyre actually on another site called agoda, which I can pay with credit card through there. So I asked him why did he tell me to walk 10 min away to an ATM and not suggest that originally? To which he literally ignored me and didnt even respond. 4),5), and 6) dont need any elaboration. Dont stay here, it will kill your trip to Dubai

Location is great, but at first time, we were looking for this hostel 2 hours, because it is big distric. Receptionist are sweet, but it is dirty place. Great thing is CLIMATIZATION. (Air condition). The showers are awfull. Because they are SuperHot. You cant switch to cold water. Gilrs and boys are separated. Dont forget your UAE plug charger. For that price , is very good , and I also recomend Backpackers in Abu Dhabi.

the location is ideal. It is like 5min walk from the metro so I went wherever I wanted via metro and met wonderful, wonderful people in the dorm. You will not regret it here. Btw the location is Capitol Tower Tecom 16th Floor

I consider central location of this hostel to be its main advantage. My room was tidy and clean enough - cant complain on that. As for hostels personnel, well the stuff behaved friendly but without excessive familiarity. To end it up can say that Im pretty satisfied with my stay.

I was arriving by car so I was told to arrive Al Fahidi Fort and someone would meet me and show me where to park. Upon arriving there and calling, they then told me they wanted me to meet them at another location. Not being from Dubai, the directions werent very clear so after 20 minutes of driving and another phone call I finally found the second location. Then when I called the guy said, "Okay, Ill leave to meet you now and will be there in 15 minutes," which I thought was quite rude, that he didnt head to meet me while I was driving to the second location. It actually took him 25 minutes to get there. So 45 minutes after I arrived at the first location, the guy finally met me. We got parked and I realized we werent very close to the hostel. I commented on that and he said he was actually taking me to a different hostel because that was where he was staying and he didnt want to take me back to the advertised one that I booked. I found that pretty shady. We arrived at the hostel and I walked into the dorm room and it was a mess and smelled bad. Also, it was advertised to have A/C and while the dorm room did, the rest of the hostel didnt. So the bathroom and kitchen were extremely hot as its summer. Ive stayed in dozens of hostels in several countries and this was by far my worst experience. I had to wait 45 minutes to be met, was taken to a different hostel than I booked (booked Easy Flat Hostel) and wouldnt have been told if I hadnt questioned it, and the hostel I was taken to (BackPacker Hostel) was the messiest and smelliest Ive ever stayed in. I definitely wouldnt stay at Easy Flat Hostel or BackPacker Hostel again. Also, interesting to note, both of these hostels have perfect 5.0 Google ratings with 17 reviews each, approximately half of which are from individuals speaking the same native language as the guy that was helping his friend run the hostels. And several of the same people wrote reviews for both hostels. Ill make sure to do the same.

Excellent hostel.I stayed there for 2 days and liked it very much. The rooms are cozy, always clean linens. All comfort and a small cafe in the lobby for breakfast. In a relatively small lengi you get a decent night.

positive: cheapest option to stay in Dubai, for abt 70 Dirham only. quite close to airport and public transport. house-lady very friendly. negative: basically a 3 room apartment for max abt 23-28 beds. therefore besides your bed and a small kitchen no space for privacy. ok also to mention a small balcony. the mattress most uncomfortable ever! very hard to sleep on. loftbeds very shaky. only 1 shower and two toilets for capacity of 23-28 people. no fridge. quite far from the city centre. my advice for people only for stop over 1 night, this hosetl should be fine. my advice for tourists there to explore the city. better spend more money so that you will have a more comfortable bed and some more privacy closer to the city centre. I stayed 2 nights to explore the city and will definitely not book this hostel again.

Read "recent" reviews and STAY AWAY from this hostel! Unattentive, irresponsible and rude staff! They dont have a locker, the doors are always open, yet they still charge 1 USD Per Hour to store the luggage in the room. No kitchen but cockroaches everywhere, even on the bed.

Stay away this hostel is so dirty the bathrooms really dirty the bedrooms really dirty and never stayed in such a bad place in all my life I have stated many hostels in many countries this was the worst really dont think it was it cleaned it about a week before I came with the older sister road all day doing nothing Im pretty sure he could make an effort to clean it or get someone to clean the place disgusting I booked in for tonight I did not even stay The first night kitchen was really dirty to air-conditioning left on all day the rooms smelled along with bathroom and kitchen I do not believe any of the reviews left saying that its very clean must be friends of theirs or something I will say would go to about it free Wi-Fi thats it. Will not return again and they said they would pick me up at the airport nobody came door believe that they have a shuttle bus going from the airport to the premises

Very good hostel! The location is awesome, 5 min to Burjuman metrostation. I went up for 2 nights travelling solo and made good friends there.The free Wi-fi, clean towels and lockers, сlеаn rooms,big kitchen. I think it is the best hostel in Dubai. And it was my best 7 days.

Last year me and my friends have stayed in this nice hostel which is situated in the center of Dubai. I should say that we were pleasantly surprised of good service, amazing cleanliness of the rooms and friendly staff of the Backpacker hostel. It was very convenient that they provided free Wi-Fi. And I would mention that Burj Khalifa view from our room was really remarkable. Other important advantages of this hostel are close distances to the airport and subway station. There are a lot of good restaurants and cafes nearby, and of course – unbelievably cheap price for staying in Dubai. We enjoyed our staying the Backpacker hostel and I can definitely recommend it to those people who are travelling together with big groups and don’t want to pay much more for the hotels.
