Yousef Mattar
This is a favourite wine bar in Dubai. It is a small place located in the Crown Plaza hotel on the 4th floor. They have a very good range of wines from both the new and old world with at least one wine by the glass from each location. Admittedly, it is not the widest wine selection available in at a bar in Dubai, but you will be hard pressed to find an other with as vast a range by the glass at this price point.
In terms of food, they have a good French focused menu but it is not the largest and they regularly do not have everything on the menu available. Their cheese board is basic but it is still good and they have a range of cold meat (pork).
Every Thursday and Friday they have a live musician who is also very good. The music is not so loud that you cannot hear yourself think unless you are seated at the tables closest to the singer.
The staff are very friendly and helpful and quite knowledgeable about the wines they serve. I highly recommend it.
