Risvan mohammedSurprise met jeopardy when I dined here. Wait, let me pull back the cart a bit. The purpose of a business chat in a casual dining outdoor environment is what landed us here. Easy, comfortable, and most importantly, clean outdoor seating complemented with the outdoor artwork graphics immediately gave us the assurance of the quality of the restaurant. Out of sheer curiosity, we stepped in only to find a cosy, well-lit diner that would be perfect once the summer hits the city. While the climate was pleasant, we chose the cane-based outdoor seats. Since it was a quick meet, the plan was to grab some starters, and move on. And we stuck to the plan. Not because we were short of time, but the variety of starters we ordered were sufficiently filling. The portions are healthy, and thats a plus. The order (for three men): - Som Tam Veg (Papaya Spinach Salad) - Absolutely surprising, as the flavour kills the papaya taste that we otherwise know of. - Pepper Chilli Tossed Chicken - Another surprise, as you would expect this to be extremely spicy given pepper and chilli in its name. Its mild and rich in flavour. - Iceberg Lettuce Wrap Tofu - Interestingly engaging, where one makes their own little wraps from a common plate, served with dried noodles, plum and chilli paste. The lettuce was fresh and crisp. Not a big fan of Tofu, but I could finish a bowl of this salad filling on my own. Damn! I had to share. - Just blindly order their Lemon Iced Tea All in all, for a mere AED 130, we three guys ate to our hearts content (in a seemingly non-gluttonous way). Yes, we could have binged more, but then this was satisfyingly sufficient. So a bunch of surprises led me to a jeopardy. Should I rate it 4.5 or 5? But I added that 0.5 for the courteous staff, and the ever attentive management. Cheers. PS: I can still feel the green chilli paste in my throat, that I generously applied on the lettuce, and thats a good thing.

Rupert SearleFood took over 2 and a half hours to reach me. I asked for a refund 2 hours in but the staff on the phone were just rude and wouldnt let me get a word in edgeways. Unsurprisingly, the food was cold and soggy.
