Had great stay at this hotel, good rooms and facilities, extremely helpful and friendly staff. Great location next to battuta mall, metro station and bus station. Have access to sister hotels beach and pool on the palm with a free shuttle there, great place to visit for the day. Good food, we enjoyed the daily included buffet breakfast and the Friday evening brunch.

Okay, so I originally rated this place 4*, however, one person that truly made a difference and made me change my mind was the Best chef in the hotel: MANTU !! His skills truly stood out for me and pushed all of the negatives that I had about my experience to one side... I informed his manager that he needs to be paid more money and needs a rise in salary, this definitely needs to be considered. The whole hotel is really clean, staff are very friendly and VERY attentive and well mannered. Id highly recommend this stay to anyone! Weather is great and so are the people here. BOOK UP !!!!!

As soon as you arrive you know you are in a 5 star hotel. The Friday Brunch is a feast not to be missed. Hotel staff are all very friendly and go out of their way to make sure your stay is a pleasant one. Upgrade to the executive lounge and take breakfast in quiet luxurious surroundings away from the busy main restaurant.

We stayed here right after our wedding for four days and it was excellent in every way. When it comes to staff they are very well trained and polite. Cleanliness was top notch. Service was superb. Our room was on the 7th Floor (turkey). The rooms are very spacious and very well laid out. Bathroom was fantastic, I liked every thing about it. My only complaint about the room was there is a huge gap between the main door for the suit and the floor, anything that happens in the hallway you hear it in the room. I actually had to have a little talk with the manager regarding the cleaning people being too loud at 9am overall I highly recommend it!

Booked the hotel on hotels combined. Very misleading images. This is not near the water and in fact it is a 25min transfer to beach club. Hotel inside is nice but not overly luxurious compared to other dubai hotels. Our main complaint is that it is located across the road from a power plant! To be honest I expected more from the movenpick brand. We will not be rushing back. Oh and no balcony in rooms too.. although thats probably a good think unless you want to see Homer Simpson across the road working at Springfield power plant!

Big mistake...Cheap ugly hotel.... dark room... no enough lights in the room... hot AC... the staff is horrible... breakfast is horrible... in room dining very slow and the they brought my main course cold..i think this hotel need rearrangement... taking the benefit of the big mall beside them to attract people is working so far...but im not sure for how long

Went to Mistral for the buffet dinner after seeing that it was the #1 restaurant in Dubai on TripAdvisor. It was very good, but did not live up to being number 1, especially with so many other great restaurants for equal or less money in Dubai. The selection of dishes was very nice, the food was good quality, and the ambience was elegant.

Very nice hotel. It is very close to the train station so transportation is not a problem. There is also pretty good and big mall across the street from the hotel entrance. Go and get good food there as an alternative to the hotel restaurants. Hotel is not at the beach so to get there you need to jump on a hotel bus which will take you to the beach free of charge. Beach is nice and clean. Getting to the centre of Dubai is best by taxi and will take around 25 minutes.

The best part of the Movenpick Ibn Batutah is the access they provide to the Oceana Club which has an infinity pool from which the skyline of Dubai can be seen. The large pool on the terrace of Movenpick hotel is also a great place to hang out with family. The ornate lights hanging from the roof of the hotel greet you as you enter the lobby. The central courtyard with lights and the mural of Ibn Batutah is truly awesome. The two restaurants serve oriental and continental cuisine. If you are bored of fine dining you can walk across to the Ibn Batutah Mall and grab your choice of fast food. The only drawback is the distance from the central business district, but the amenities, decor and service will make up for it.

Stayed at Hotel Ibn Battuta Gate Dubai in late March this year, this was our second time there, having enjoyed our first stay there around the same time last year. We found the staff to be ever so helpful and friendly particularly at the reception area! The ambience of the place is delightful. There are so many restaurants to dine in and the variety is second to none. Not to forget the lovely staff in the bar always smiling! The rooms are of a superior nature and very cosy. Our family stayed in the hotel for 3 nights in the Movenpick Ibn Battuta Gate Hotel a few days ago, we enjoyed almost everything moment when we were there,the hotel lobby was magnificient with tranquility music( it gives you a fullfilled feeling when you walk under those hanging lama traditional lights ), the dinning restaurant with high quallity of food, the staffs were one of those friendliest we have met on our travels, especially those in the bar (the comlimentary chocolate drink from 5pm to 6 pm was delicious, couldnt help to have another cup !)and life saving guard at the swimming pool. We love their greeting and sweet smiles. The gym centre was great as it open 24 hours! Another great stuff I have to mention is the pillow. They are so comfortable and can fall asleep so easily (cause mum used to very hard to have sound sleep, but she slept well for those 3 nights.） By the way, could you please advise the brand of the pillow and where can we buy them and how much it cost.

we have just returned from this hotel, we stayed from 26th dec to 31st december 2013 we cannot rate this hotel high enough, it was fantastic from the minuet we arrived until we checked out the staff are absolutely amazing the food and service stunning, we arrived at about 4 oclock in the morning and the check in lady just took a copy of our passport and then said please go and rest in your room and complete check in when you are feeling rested we have stayed in lots of hotels and never have they been so understanding of how tired you are after the long journey, also we were upgraded free to an executive suite which was amazing, the staff and management of this hotel are the best i have ever known they are a credit to their profession. We would say to anyone who is thinking of going to this hotel go it is everything it says it is and more i thank this hotel for a fantastic week it could not have been any better

Viaggio di lavoro di 4 notti, prima volta in questo albergo ma non a Dubai e non ho nulla da dire in negativo. Albergo immenso, servizi di ogni genere, latmosfera e quella che piu mi ha colpito, molto bella e scenografica. La stanza grande e bellissima, doppio servizio impeccabile (mattina e pomeriggio). Lalbergo dispone di vari ristoranti, ho provato quello italiano e ne vale veramente la pena, lo chef e italiano! La colazione anche allaltezza con cose di ogni genere. La location e un po fuori mano, oltre il business district, ma qui si ci muove con taxi a prescindere visto le distanze, quindi non e proprio un problema. Attaccato al battuta gate mall, quindi si fanno compere a piedi. Se proprio dovessi dire qualcosa lunica piccola pecca e la vista dalla piscina, coperta dalle mura esterni e non un granche, altri alberghi hanno viste mozzagiato della citta dalle loro piscine allultimo piano.
