Disappointed and incredibly frustrating. Was not a positive experience overall but I am grateful to some specific staff who tried their best to help us battle the bureaucracy and get our son the treatment he needed. There are some great facilities and some excellent medical professionals. There are also some less professional/competent medical staff. The single biggest problem is the billing and insurance team who I feel should be fired and replaced. My first encounter was frustrating and that didnt change over the course of 2 weeks. E.g. while being readmitted for urgent treatment at admissions there was delay of over 40 minutes as they couldnt confirm if our insurance provided the right cover (still not resolved after this time). Discharge took 5hrs 50 from the time the doctor said we could take our baby home to the time I walked out the door. 5hrs 50 - that is beyond ridiculous.... In contrast when we went to city hospital they called the insurance company and had received written confirmation of coverage within only 7 minutes. Discharge took 15 minutes. I think that says it all.

I have had several interactions with them and i must say they are very good! One of these was a Gallbladder removal procedure and it went very smoothly and professionally. I would however recommend they up their fame in the Emergency area. The time it takes and the level of attention is not that of being admitted to the actual ward.

Bad experience with X-Ray. Non respectful staff and will try to ask you to come another time because the x-ray Dr. Will give any excuse to keep in rest. They even refused to give me a prescription of the x-ray to get it in another hospital. Wouldnt recommend at all

Awful experiences : the number 1 and most distressing experience is when my wide got told by one of the Doctor (lady) told my 40 weeks pregnant wife the day before her induction to step out of her office and that she will give birth on her own as she will not come for her. My wife had found out that this Dr had scheduled the induction at 6am while the would only reach the clinic at 10am. My wife had only asked her to be present as she had a first complicated birth and got treated in the most awful way. This matter will be taken to Dubai Health Authority. I strongly advise to stay away from this awful person who does not respect her patients, her doctor uniform and the life of new born a risk!!!!!

I decided to go with my mother to consult AlZahra Hospital in Dubai about her condition, and we did not do any research before we go to the hospital because we already know ALZahra Hospital Dubai team is one of the best in the UAE. We were looking for a second opinion! I opened their website and booked an appointment with Dr. Sadir AlRawi the day before, then we went next day and were surprised by the way we were welcomed with a big warm smile from Dr. Al-Sadir AlRawi without meeting us ever!, he understood his patient very good and he knew how to listen to them, He is a top professional and an expert in his work and super human with his big heart. We felt that we were with our family and we got the support we were looking for, even for this short consultation date. I would like to thank you, Dr. Sadir, for the way we were welcomed and listened to my mother, you brought happiness back to her heart, you are a generous man of things you did for us. I will never forget this throughout my life, a good man still exists. We were very lucky to meet you and you made our day. I recommend you and your team to anyone looking for more than a normal doctor. "Life is an attitude"

Ive travelled a lot and Unfortunatly Ive been to couple hospitals in my past... First of all one thing about this one is you definitely dont feel like you are at the hospital, the room, the smell, the atmosphere... Regarding the staff, everybody is very professional, I have the personal number of all my doctors in case of emergency, the nurses are super nice, the food Aswel is way better, healthier that I saw in certain other hospital. Ive been admitted for a serious infection at my leg through the emergency I waited less than 30min, the staff was very efficient. I usually never write reviews on Facebook but I thought that might help some of you. Really for my point of view and experience here, they deserve 5/5 . A big thank you to Dr Sadir, Dr Dina, Dr Alladin, Dr Dima and their all team

OK, I have to say that Al Zahra hospital has some great, highly professional doctors and nurses, as well as very nice facilities. But, their receptionists are horrible. They ruined every single visit for us because of their lack of professionalism, common sense, and communication skills. The problem with the pediatrics department is that every time we come in, we are forced to wait additional 30-45 minutes after our appointment time, because there is always someone cutting the line. Im highly understanding and sympathetic when a child has a high fever and needs to see the doctor immediately, but there is an emergency section for those kinds of patients. Ive seen 3 doctors so far for my sons condition and still no solution. Each visit is a waste of time and money. It takes 10-15 days to book an appointment with a dermatologist with the excuse that there are only 3 pediatric dermatologists in the hospital and some of them are only part-timers. Im going to another hospital to get a second opinion. Im tired of hearing excuses and being treated poorly by receptionist staff whose sentences start with a fake smile and an infamous "because maam" every single time.

If you need to go to emergency avoid this hospital. We spent 3 hrs at emergency and were not seen by the doctor we requested instead we were only attended by the GP, Dr. Fatma who never reverted on the test results. Next day thank god we went to another hospital and been assisted as the case turned up to be important, treatment was given and meanwhile we didnt hear back on results from al zahra for 5 days until we called twice to follow up. Very disappointed with patient care!

My 2 year old has been vomiting over the last 2 weeks. They took a sample from my toddler to test for bacteria and promised to get back to us with results, a day later no 1 called and it seems like they wont bother. No one seems to know what the issue is or even able to check what happened in the last 2 visits, it might be best to go to the family clinic at least they will be able to follow up and keep records saved all in one place.

Worst administration ever. They want you to think that theyre the best and they make it look like its posh and luxurious, but I started going there over the last 3 months to visit an OBGYN. Because of an admin problem, I paid for a first trimester screening test which never got done. And I missed the window for it because when I tried to call my doctor about it, it took her 10 days to call me back. I would call every few days and leave messages, the call center claims to have left them for her but she claims to have never seen them. I simply had a question about my blood tests and I left 3 messages over a period of 10 days. After this the doctor finally called me which is when we realized the blood tests were never conducted! And it was too late to do it again because I was no longer in my first trimester. She offered to book me a new appointment so I could redo my blood tests because of the mistake, and she set up a new appointment for me. I went to the hospital on the day of the appointment only to be told that they are fully booked and there is no confirmation of my appointment today. She never confirmed it. I PAID for this test a month ago. What a waste of time. I dont trust this hospital with my pregnancy anymore. The call center doesnt do their job, the doctors are unreachable, and they simply dont care about their patients.

Moved new to the city from Abu Dhabi and never experienced this ... You have to sort your internal processes and waiting time ... FAST Great dubai doctors, good facility and product but you cannot expect patients to spend an average of 90 min for a simple doc visit and one medicine !!! Its a wait to see the doc and a wait for Medicine and its not the new operating system you installed "yesterday" that everyone uses as an excuse !!! AVOID THIS HOSPITAL: Went to ER because it was Friday and we needed a pediatrician. They took a sample from my toddler to test for bacteria and didnt get back to us with results until we called a week later. Meanwhile we went to another doctor. Edit: The same has happened again with my pregnant wifes bloodwork. Needless to day, it was a critical blood test for the fetus, so its only normal that we would be awaiting the results restlessly. No one called us to give us the results, 10 days passed and we called every day and no one responded. In the end, it turns out they took the blood samples and never ended up doing the blood tests. They pocketed the money and "lost the blood samples". Is this really a certified hospital? If I could score them zero stars I would.

the worst hospital and service I have ever seen. What a shame to have such a bad hospital in a such great city like Dubai. I would not even give 1 star, unfortunately, there is no choice for no star option. About the Hospital, what I can say is they try to rob money from you, and the treatment is totally unacceptable, I believe in the cheapest hospital around the world has got better treat to the patients. What happened is, just in front of me the doctor (if I can say a doctor, better call a robber) was just making an experiment on a 2 years old baby. And she was having 39.7 degrees of temperature. No one was checking while they put the fluid to the baby. As I said, please try not to go there at all. If you need your own or your family members health.

Worst hospital experience and very disappointing service, the average wait time is between 30-60 minutes. The admin staff and the receptionists have 0 common sense and lack professionalism. What I also found shocking, when registering for the first time at the main reception they take your cards and ask you to wait at another reception and then get your Emirates ID sent by one of their office helpers without an envelope and he starts looking around the waiting room to identify your face and handover the Emirates ID without taking a signature or even cross checking the information, I cant even think of the number of risks here of losing the EID or handing it out to the wrong person! Save your time and money and avoid this hospital

Today 29.05.2017. Highly recomended to avoid this hospital if your life and your beloved important to you! Worst experience ever. Came by emergency with a 6 month old baby name Daniela. No pediatric doctor in iftar time. So we have to wait 40 min till they decide us to send to pediatric department with fever 40 to 3d floor. There doctor at 8.20 still having iftar. And evrything was an emergency case! Have waiting 40 min till dr. Amna can see us Wasting the time. Asking for the blood test, 3 nurses one by one tried to collect blood, which we are waiting for 1.30 hour, by the way, we came by emergency, nurses was arrogant, after that they called for help anastaseologist lady, she cant do it as well and pierced through the ankle with a needle and left insults like its our fault that she cant do it! Finally we refused help and run to another hospital for help but in reception they asked to pay the bill for emergency help which we didnt get. Wasting the money aNd time. Finally spend totall 4 hours there with a baby and didnt get help. Well done ! emergence and pediatric departments should be completely change or closed due unprofessionalism. In the end while we refused to stay, head of nurses, Arab women in Arabic asked in very rough form with disrespect asked Arab doctor to give us final papers. Surprise, my sister knows arabic . When they realised that she understands everything they say right in her face in arab language was shocked and started to asked her if she is Lebanese. And why she didnt mentioned it before. Is the nationality case to treat pathients in different way?! We leave in UAE! Zahra hospital shouldnt call medical facilities, no more good specialists there. Rip off facility with horrible service. Dont mind to pay money for good and in time service. Stayed ther 8 hours and left with tears. Arrogant staff from nurses to doctors. Just simply avoid this hospital.

Cannot handle so many patients. Have to wait atleast 1.5 hours everytime, despite taking appointments. Even in emergency, had to wait 1 hour before being attended to. IT system is horrible with computers not working most of the time and receptionists are not able to handle the patients.

This is a review from an overall experience including child birth, ER, and pediatric department Pregnancy follow up appointments and the Ob/GYN was good, the dr (Ikhlas) is very understanding and she would give us all the time we needed and answered all of our questions during the whole pregnancy months , but I didnt have any complications anyway and (Thanks GOD) didnt have anything that she would need to treat me with, waiting is an issue only if its weekend, other than that you go in at the time of your appointment. Baby delivery was excellent,all the staff knew exactly what they were doing, all very gentle and calm , delivery room is fully equipped and is really nice (made me feel very comfortable during the long time ) After delivery care was OK, my only complaint is that the nurses didnt seem very experienced in the way they handled a new born . And when I had the smallest breastfeeding issue they didnt know what to do. I would rate the whole pregnancy & delivery experience 4/5 As for the ER, we (unfortunately) went there on a weekend day and it was HORRIBLE. We waited 4 hours to see a doctor!! They said there was only 1 Dr!! My husband was really tired and I couldnt take him anywhere else, and even when we did see the dr, it took another 2 hours to get out !! Our whole day was completely ruined and the reception guy said its always this way on weekends, I mean you cant just charge 400 AED for a consultation and just have one doctor!!!!!

The worst emergency in Dubai, will never go back there. I took my 20 days old baby, they told us a nurse will call us to check immediately but there is a waiting list for the doctor. We have waited for 40 minutes and at the end what we heard was there are still 3 patients before us only to see the nurse not even the doctor. The worst reception staff with lack of sympathy to the patients and their families. At the end there wasnt even an apology from their side when we mentioned their mistake. I will go any other hospital for emergency which takes max 10 minutes to see the doctor but never to this one again. Such a shame for Dubai and its high level of service quality.

I just had an appointment with Dr.Alaa Eldin in Rheumatology clinic. He has great experience, very well knowledge, very gentle and honest. Also, the hospital facilities are super clean and well organized. Good medical treatment, no hidden coverage, modern building, reasonable charges comparing to other hospital in Dubai. Just excellent!

I don’t have words to say for Dr Sadir, Al Zahra Al Barsha Dubai UAE. When we went to meet Doctor we were so tensed as there were so many questions coming in and out throughout the meeting we had with him for the first time. As we understand that he is a great doctor by profession but he made us understand and made us comfort and told us why it is necessary to undergo this big operation. By grace of God my wife is doing very well who was in a safe hand of Dr Sadir which is a blessing to us. There are so many Doctors but few Doctors really make a good mark and Zara Hospital should be very lucky to have Dr Sadir Alrawi working with them. Good Luck. Regards. Ranjit

The most awful emergency. Ive got fracture of the bone the staff told that I have to wait a little bit because there is a queue. So in the end I waited for 3.5 hours and nobody checked and didnt do X-ray. I left the hospital and went to another one where Ive got the service immediately. They have good facility but it seems they dont have money to hire professional doctors. Zero stars

One of the worst hospitals in the world not in Dubai only.. They care about the image but core is simply garbage.. They provide shrimps on lunch but they provide you with the worst doctors ever, I had a road accident and stayed in this bad hospital for 11 days.. I was in severe pain, until i realized that the Iraqi bones surgery doctor they have is better to be a butcher rather than being a doctor.. My shoulder was broken and dislocated for 11 days.. Of course I found this out until I told the doctor Im not convinced with your opinion and seeked a second opinion.. I had to be immediately operated..

Dr. is not diagnosing anything but requesting blood tests and all kind of expensive tests, he is giving medicine before even seeing the test report which they requested. After the consultation, its difficult to reach them by phone to FWP the case. Even they are not cooperative to send the reports by e-mail.

The nurse who was taking my blood sample probably does not have enough experiences as she bruised my arm and I could not move it for next three hours or carry heavy objects in it the following day. I took a photo for my arm and its scary. This is unacceptable and dangerous. What if she cause worse damage to other patients or to babies for example! They should not hire people like this!!

Avoid Pharmacy, waited more than 1 hour to get medicine, One Counter was operating only, the guy there was super slow....in another counter, woman was sitting and doing absolutely nothing.....One guy got so frustrated and shouted at her, why was she not working....and only after that she started working...unbelievable.....After waiting for one hour, they told us, that the medicine was not available in the Pharmacy......I am still surprised that this hospital still operates...after reading so many negative comments about them.....they owners of this hospital should seriously considering changing top management, if they want to have success and respect in the future......

My son is 4.5 years and we are in Dubai for holiday. We are from Bahrain. The ER is a nightmare. They are too slow and the pediatric was really bad. First impression of the admission staff is shocking. There wasnt anyone there for the 15 mins that we were made to wait. She eventually slowly waltzes in with her gown flowing...despite the other staff running around looking for this person, no word of apology or thank you for waiting. Secondly, information on my admission tag was wrong! This despite me re-registering the day before with a new Emirates ID and phone number. Icing on the cake, my histopathology report also came in with the wrong details of me! This i received yesterday 21.08.16. Well, management has to get their customer service sorted and please get staff that are competent. This is a business after all. I would never choose to go back here, but this time, I didnt have a choice because the operating surgeon operates out of this hospital. On the whole, I am grateful to the nurses for looking after me. They deserve all the stars there is to give them. Apart from the admin staff, the hospital has ample parking space, clean and their porters were also very helpful.

Terrible place specially the ER with poor experience and low quality of service . Careless and rude staff , worst hospital ever. They just rip you off and dont care about patients , one lady called Gohar( supposed to be the manager in charge!!) came to ER to scold me while I was breathless and was very rude and unprofessional. All she cared about was money though everything is covered by my insurance as they already got admission approval yet she was ignorant about the policy. They insisted on getting the payment cash though they already have insurance approval just because the accountant made a mistake and put me as outpatient instead of inpatient. Even their top management dont have any interpersonal skills and know nothing about running a hospital or treating patients. . Never go there specially for emergency , you will wait more than an hour in vain without having any proper treatment or care. I encourage everyone who suffered at this place to file a complaint to DHA and they will definitely take action.

On June 28, 2016 I had major abdominal surgery at the hospital. Doctor Sadir Al Rawi and his team (Dr. Kachif and Dr. Huma) treated me with the most amazing care and professionalism. I had major complications after that surgery but Dr. Sadir and his team brought me back to health and were committed to making sure I could be back to 100% as soon as possible. They made me feel like I was a member of their families. That is the level of care and decication they gave me and continue to give to all their patients. Dr. Sadir, even while on his personal vacation, called or texted me every day and sometime multiple times in a day to check in on me and make sure I was ok and getting the care I needed. I would highly recommend this hospital and this team to any and everyone!

Great experience, we had a little fright because our 11 month old baby had bruises on his ear.. We were advised to go to the ER and ended up in al Zahra hospital for the first time. Registration was quick & easy, we didnt wait long for the basic vitals to be checked and were escorted to a room pretty quick. After a short wait we were visited by Dr Isam, he was very gentle and calmed us down, checked our baby and assured us off his wellbeing, he then called a Pediatrician To take a second look. We were advised to take a precautionary blood test if we wanted, which we did.. Nurse Earvin was quick to draw the blood, to our surprise the baby only cried 10 seconds on insertion and that was it! "Magic Johnson" indeed. Billing was fast and efficient, the whole thing took around 2 hours, with a call 2 hours later to confirm all clear, alhamdolillah. Would def come back if needed.

Such a horrible experiences we had with them, that I am forced to tell everybody that keep away from this hospital. Every department in the hospital are so irresponsible, inefficient and lazy that its a torture going to this hospital. Insurance approvals take weeks and by the time my sickness is already cured automatically. In other hospitals these insurance checks take just 5 minutes. Al Zahra has made it a practice of not checking with the insurance department on the same day and they always ask us to go home and come back later when we receive calls about the insurance. Still they will not call back and I have to keep checking with the hospital. So finally when I check with my insurance company directly, they say its already approved, but Al Zahra still says they have not got information from insurance. Please do not go to this hospital.

Lived in USA, UK and many countries and still this is the worst experienced ever. Walked into ER with a toddler and 7 hours after moved to a room and still no iv or antibiotic. The ways of working, speed or even quality of service are not acceptable. This hospital needs to improve in their communication, actions, decisions and service. If you have serious issue, pleae go somewhere else. Every time I have asked help they said we will get back to you. The lab result as 203 for CPR and 7 hrs after still no doctor or response. Absolutely not acceptable

When i asked the reason for the delay, their reply was "if its not life threatening, then you have to wait". Take my advice and skip this hospital. They have no idea of how to treat people. The delivery of our baby was great. We had one of the first water birth in Dubai and we really enjoyed the experience. The negative side is the administration of this hospital. When sending documents from one place to the other, documents get lost. Our worst experience was that I had to go down to pay during the delivery! Guys, if you want the money in advance, tell a few days before and I make the payment. During delivery is the worst possible time especially with an incompetent guy at the reception who needs to ask multiple people how much to charge.

Dr. Sadir contacted many of my previous doctors, collecting all pertinent information regarding my condition and testing. I was diagnosed with Insulinoma, tumors on my pancreas. The tumors were in an area of my pancreas that could have necessitated an invasive procedure called a Whipple Procedure. Fortunately for me, Dr. Sadir performed a less-invasive procedure and I recovered quickly. Post-operation, Dr. Sadir checked on me regularly and answered all of my questions. Dr. Dina Moustafa was also vital post-surgery, helpful with appointments, insurance and questions regarding the healing process. Throughout the duration of my treatment, I felt informed and a part of the decision-making process.

Cant be a hospital. I went to emergency and it took one hour and 15 minutes to see the doctor. They will let you register first then you have to wait 25 minutes until the nurse will assist. Then again will wait 20 minutes. After that will take you to one of the rooms waiting for almost 45 minutes. Then when i told them i will leave at that time doctor came. service very bad. I am in UAE for the last 11 years. But i never seen like this service before. I think I made a mistake when i came to this hospital. But because i moved new to Dubai and its the nearest to my home. But i will never come again and i dont recommend to any.

Something is seriously wrong with administration, no follow up, impossible to make appointments after you get the approval even though its their job to call. The worst part? You cant get through to someone in order to complain, the person I was put through to made me want to complain even more!!! Ridiculous. Yes the location is great, doctors and nurses are OK, the rest is just not worth it.

The worst follow up ever! I have a problem with my heart where the heart surgeon asked me to do a couple of tests, a sonogram for my heart and another test on the treadmill, they didnt do the treadmill test because they need an approval from the insurance. That was 3 weeks ago, and Ive been calling to follow up on a daily basis and every time someone transfers me to the doctors nurse, no one picks up and they mention that they will call me back later. I really dont know what to do, either quit this hospital and go through the whole process again or just go scream my lungs out so that someone would go like were sorry well follow up and give you a call.

The service was really bad for admission and lack of followup with my insurance! Had to go there myself and ensure they send it in front of me... Not only that... I went in and did my surgery with dr. Khalil who is really amazingly great and requested a sick leave which i didnt get till the 3rd day due to lack of follow up from OB staff!!! After several emails and phone calls i had to shout for over 40min over the phone to transfer me to customer service and luckily they did and transferred me to Ms. Enas who answeed my call and because of her ONLY i got my sick leave within few minutes!!! So whenever we beed something we shout??? Or directly we ask for customer service??? What a solution!!! Thanks Ms Enas however never ever will be going to Zahra hospital again!!!

The hospital lacks professional ER doctor so stay away.. Although the facility and the nurses are great Yesterday around 7pm we checked in my wife at emergency as she had an abdominal pain and we suspected appendicitis. The emergency check in process was good. The nurses were top notch, very attentive and very professional. However the ER doctor, Dr Anas, was incompetent and lacked the Communication skills although we were both Arabic speakers. He would have successful career as an actor in an egyptian film rather than an ER doctor. Dr. Anas requested blood tests and urin samples then asked for CT scan, as a normal procedure in the probable event of appendectomy. The blood , urin and CT results all came back negative and everything was normal. The Dr applied pressure on my wifes tummy and she is still hurt. He said that she needs to stay 24 hour under supervision and then referred to an obgyn followed by a surgeon maybe there is an issue with the ovaries. Thats a logical diagnosis and we tend to accept it, however when we asked him why we need to stay 24 hours in the hospital and what would be a probable cause. He kept saying that he is following procedure and if we have to discharge my wife she has to sign a document. My wife she said she will sign it and leave, cause she didnt like the way how the Dr was inconsiderate and lacked thr professional attitude. It was obvious he was in a hurry to end his shift. Once we told him we want to leave, he stormed out of the examination room and shouted for a nurse to come finish our discharge quickly, as if he is commissioned to make sure ER patients spent a night at the hospital. I asked the doctor that I need my full wife medical file ( since we wont be coming to this ER any more) he gave me the file and while I was leaving I asked him what about the medicine. It was obvious that he forgot. He prescribed something for tummy ache. The shocking part is that the nurse is the one who explained the results of the urin and she said there are trances of inflammation that showed up in the test. The Dr. didnt mention that at all. We thanked her for her amazing care and continous smile, and genuinely told her we are not coming to this ER again. One more thing the CT scan approval took more than one hour, so i paid to get my wife checked and then once we got the approval they refunded my money. I was ok with that because it saved us time.. We left at 12:00 am

One of the worst experiences and i blame the ministry of health for not cheking these hospitals for lack if courtesy and unprossionalism. If ur child is sick dont send to ER as no doctor or u need to wait one hour .. Go learn from kuwait they have many hospitals and many doctors available 24 hrs. We had to leave the hospital after the rude nurse told us doctor will come after one hour, no cold pads no attention to ths child .. Its only about commercial no body cares about u .. Last time there hopefully

i gave birth to my son here..... thanks God he is ok, but the attitude i had from doctor was terrible :( would you believe that we requested a 4D or 3D picture for my son while i was pregnant and doctor answered: "YOU HAVE ANY IDEEA HOW MUCH THIS MACHINE COST?, YOUR BABY IS FINE YOU DONT NEED ANY PICTURE!" this is only one minor example of the attitude i had ..... so much more things happen.... really sad to remember .....

My comment is related to Al Zahra, Barsha hospital, where i visited a Gynecologist. I met the doctor who seemed to be in a hurry all the time and did not pay attention at all. I was seeking advise from her in regards to planning a baby but she did not seem to care. As a routine and in a callus way she asked me to do few tests and left for the day leaving me with the nurse. I did my tests and was told to wait for the reports as the doctor will call you. It had been 8 days but nobody called so i called them after being diverted here and there, finally the nurse told me that the doctor is not in and without her knowledge she can not share the details. I asked for the reports to which again she said she has to consult the doctor. Upon asking the nurse why nobody has followed up with me she said the doctor is busy and moreover they only call patients if something is wrong in the report. So may be am all right and need not worry. I found such reckless behavior.......shocking. Next day my husband personally went to collect the reports and consult the doctor but as again the doctor was not in and the nurse refused to give the reports. He vented his anger at the poor service the hospital has provided. Then a senior nurse came in and handed over the reports. He asked her whether everything was ok in the reports? but the nurse gave the standard answer that i need to check with the doctor. The hospital is a real disappointment as they lack personal care and affection towards the patient specially such an important decision of having our first baby.

I lived in Dubai all my life and it is the first time ever Ive had such a horrible experience and fist time I have taken time to write a comment as thats how frustrated I am. The registration process, to billing, to insurance and medicine claims were like extracting tooth. The staff are unhelpful and have a dont care attitude. I have no choice but to use them as it is the only place that offers phototherapy and my doctor is brilliant as is her nurse - the only reason I still go there. One occasion, they rejected a certain medicine saying it was not covered under insurance, when I called the insurance company, they gave me an approval in less than 5 mins. I went back and it was rejected again and after an hour of screaming match, I got my medicines. This is a medicine I had to take for the next 3 months, I had the exact same experience when I went for a refill - you would think they learnt from the first instance and it would get better. An hour later, I ended up paying for the medicine just because I had lost the will to fight! Once my medial procedure is complete, I intend to never return back unless someone takes me there in an unconscious state and I have no control over it.

Last week Saturday 7th of June 2014 my husband had to undergo a small surgery under local anesthesia. My husbands doctor is a very nice man who knows what he is doing a shame he has to work in such an unorganized environment. If the insurance company wouldnt have made it so difficult my husband wouldnt have to go to this hospital and would have had the procedure in the clinic where we normally go. The hospital is very nice and top notch of facilities but the people that work there and are in charge have no clue what they are doing. He was admitted in the morning to get him ready for surgery and the surgery it self would only take 1 hour. After that he had to stay another hour in a room and then they would discharge him so we could go home. Because I had take care of some personal things while my husband had the surgery I left the hospital and returned when my husband was already in the room. They had given him a meal we didnt know why since he had breakfast that morning. During the time my husband had returned to the room some sort of counseling person entered the room and asked if everything was ok which was, we were just waiting to go home. After 1 hour we still hadnt seen any nurse or doctor to tell us he was ready to go home. So I went to ask at the reception desk at the Medical Ward on the 8th floor when my husband could go home the girl behind the desk said we will give him a meal, I said my husband only wants to go home. Then the nurse from the morning appeared in the room and said oh you have been waiting a long time, she needed a signature from a doctor and my husband needed a medical leave paper for which we had to pay AED 60 after that would be done we could go home. So my husband had asked the nurse can I get dressed so she said he could. We kept waiting in the room for another 15 minutes it was already past 12.00 pm then we went to the reception desk and there it was like a zoo and nobody actually was doing anything but talking, moving around and on the phone. They kept us waiting until 12.30 pm when the surgery had taken place after 9.00 am. So they gave us some paperwork then I still had to go downstairs to the accounting office to pay that AED 60 when I came there the person collecting the money asked me for another 95AED for something we had not received so I didnt pay it. My husband still had to receive another paper when I went to accounting so everything is so time consuming. We hope that we dont have to return to this hospital. I also hope they can solve their employee problems.

My daughter was coughing constantly and it was a Friday , we spent 2 hours out in the ER just to wait for our turns and it didnt look that busy to be honest ... Then they took us in the room got some blood for her and said it needs 1.5 hrs for the result .. Again we wait ... Then after an hour and after lots of crying and shouting on my daughters side ( since they had an IV inserted in her hand ) and took a big sample of blood , they come back to us saying the sample wasnt good .. So this means that the nurse doesnt know what she is doing or the container is not good or it wasnt stored the way it should have been ... so again we need to insert another IV ... In her other hand ... I dont want to finish because you know where is it going ... Worst hospital experience in the world ... 6 hours here and still counting !!!
