If you need to have any services done for your apple product(s), this is the place to go to. No wait in line and no other hassles that you normally have to deal with at the apple store. The only problem is with Apples policy. If your phone or other products need to be replaced, you wont get it right away, where as you would at the apple store. Allow 3 working days to receive the new product.

I was on holiday in Dubai when my MacBook Pro broke down, I desperately needed to fix it and Makina charged me the equivalent of £380 to replace the hard-drive. During the warranty period, that hard-drive broke down again and I had to replace it with yet another one. I was not in Dubai at the time and had to pay for a new installation. When I contacted Makina about this, they maintained that their warranty policy only allows for a replacement of a hard-drive and not a refund (they said basically it wasnt their fault that I was travelling when their installation broke down!). I had to bite the bullet and accept their offer of giving me a replacement hard-drive. When I checked online, I discovered that the product they gave me barely costs £50 (remember they charged me £380! Even if theres an installation fee included, the difference is a rip-off). So they over-charged me for a product that didnt work and left me with a pathetic product to remember them with. If youre in Dubai and desperately need a repair, be patient and go to the official Apple Store in Mall of the Emirates just down the road.

All 5 star reviews are fake. Dont believe them! Ive read in it and came with problem of my MacBook Air. They gave me quotation for AED 2350 for change motherboard and AED 250 for diagnostic AED 2600 total. In AppStore which is actually next to them in the Emirates Mall total price for it AED 1750 which is AED 900 less!!! Dont believe them and dont give them your devices!!!

Dropped off my iMac as I had a white screen and it would no longer boot. Paid the fee for the diagnostic and left. A day later I was called and informed of which part needed to be replaced. I was told that they would only do the work if I came back to Makina and make the payment before even getting any service. Also, the fee charged for diagnostics would not be waived if I proceeded with the repairs. Therefore, I went to Makina and pleaded my case to the manager who didnt seem really interested in pleasing a Customer. They just care about money. This was a total waste of my time and money. Other Authorised Service Centre refund the diagnostic charges if you repair your device with them and dont require you to come back to their location to pay for the parts before repairs can begin. I DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

The last time I went to Makina, there was a massive recall on all late 2011 Macbook Pros. My computer was rendered useless, and the waiting time at the centres in Tecom and Sheikh Zayed road were grossly overcrowded and under-serviced. These guys replaced my motherboard (worth 2,700 AED) for free! I went again today, and Yousef, one of their engineers ran a 250 dirham diagnostic test (again for free) and gave me a solid recommendation. These guys are super quick, super intelligent and very efficient. Theyre right next to MOE as well, and not difficult to find on google maps. Please do yourself a favour and go to these fellas next time your apple product glitches. UPDATE - The great thing about this service center is each problem, each diagnosis, each device is treated with a great level of care and open communication with the customers. One of the trademarks of good customer service is not just service, but being a facilitator of options - much like a technological pathologist. Heres the bottom line - its a great company with staff members who go the extra mile to make sure your Apple device is restored, with quick service and honest advice. if youd like to make your Apple product last (like I have mine since late 2011), this is the place to go!

I had to replace the fusion drive and screen of my iMac 27" retina display. While Apple customer support advised that 2 weeks was necessary to fix the issue and directed me to Makina Technologies, it took them les than 24h to resolve the issue: New screen and new hard drive. Great work to the team there. They definitively delivered a service that is above expectations. Thank you guys!

Good costumer care and fast service. I found Makina Technologies contact from apple website. I just mail them about my iPhone 6s battery issue. They contacted me within few hours. I bring my phone to their service center near Mall of the Emirates/ Sharaf DG metro. Within 3 days I got my phone back after replacing the battery. My phone started to restart and shut down out of the blue. I tried ringing Apple and getting an appointment at the Apple Store MOE - it was actually impossible. I wasted 5 days trying to do this. Then I came to Makina. I was seen within 5 mins of entering the store. The diagnosis of my phones problem was complete within a further 10 mins. The staff I dealt with, Hussain and Mr Bobby were incredibly friendly and helpful. I received my new phone 3 days after first visiting the store! I can not recommend this shop enough!! I will not be going anywhere but here from now on if I have any Apple issues!

I had issues with my MacBook 12"...the store advised me to visit Mall of Emirates for them to check the unit...I went there and theyve referred me to Makina Tech. I went there the same day, Thursday...It was Mr Yousef who check the unit...as per him, maybe theres something wrong with the logic board or reinstall the system. If logic board, they will replace it for free however, if needs software installation, then I need to pay AED 350...I said yes to that as long as it gets fixed...on Tuesday, i called them i theyve confirmed that it was the logic board that theyve replaced...thanks God!!! And its for free!!! Thank you Mr Yousef for your amazing customer service, my MacBook is up and running... Guys, this place is way better again way better than Apple Store in Mall of Emirates!!! I had a serious problem with my late 2011 Macbook Pro and I went to Royal Step. Within 5 min the issue has been evaluated and the solution has been proposed. Because the part was not available right away I had to wait a few days, but the repair has been executed faster than promised, it was cheaper (actually for free ;-) ) and I got the laptop back cleaned and nicely working again.
