Paul has standards which you can test in any of their outlets, the French food is delicious, breakfast is amazing, coffee and French deserts are yummy.. you cant leave without taking away some of their nice baked bread of all kinds

Today I had the ceaser salad. I have had it before here and it was good. Today the chicken was soooo dry and such a small portion of chicken. It came in a crispy bowl that was burnt. When I complained the waiter suggested I change the salad. I agreed to this. However the supervisor came and said the next salad had the same chicken. I explained the chicken had been cooked till it was extremely dry and like eating string. He argued with me that the chicken was meant to be like that and he Lao said the burnt crispy bowl should be like that. He has a very condescending attitude and looked as though he didnt believe me. He walked away without saying they would make another salad for me so I asked for the bill. Then he comes over and said they were making a diff salad however he has such poor communication style I was so upset and said no just give me the bill. I have come to Pauls many times and this is my first bad experience. Maybe they are cutting corners and employing people with no leadership / communication / and service recovery skills. My server was lovely. The manager was horrible . I have lived in dubai for 8 years and come hear every time I am at the mall. Yet I feel Zaid was so rude and horrible I dont want to return.

Paul is a household name. Always nice food, coffee and pastries. The problem with this location is space. Its too small and you do not enjoy your food or coffee. Their sitting is worse than the sitting in the economy class of an airplane.

As an Australian, I love my breakfast. I had the only chance to have a quite breakfast while my husband took my son out, so I decided to go to Paul Mall of the Emirates looking forward to a perfect breakfast. Unfortunately for me it was one of the worst services I have had in Dubai. I ordered a poached egg plate and asked for the eggs to be runny. I received the plate with 1 ok egg, and the other egg practically raw. So I cut into the egg not knowing it was raw, and had raw whites and yolk on my whole plate, salad, wedges and bread. I called the waiter and told him that the egg is almost raw but he replied with ignorance, you asked for runny. I was so upset. I told him runny meant the yolk is runny, the whites should be cooked, any breakfast place would know that. He then said that I was right and apologised after trying to make me look like I didnt understand a good poached egg. He apologised a few time, but did not offer to change the plate, nor give me a discount/refund. So i had in front of me, what i saw was a plate full of salmonella, with nothing being eatable. I paid full price, left the plate uneaten and left. Fortunately for them, Im not the type to cause a scene, but I wish I had because I was so disappointed.

Foods and coffee are fair. But today I had a horrible experience with them!! Yesterday morning on the way to office I dropped off my freind who came from Germany to visit me in Dubai at MOE for shopping. At lunch time he asked me where to eat, I suggested him to go to Paul!!! One hour later I got call from him PLEASE HELP!! When he asked for bill, he realised he doesnt have enough dirham to pay off the check, he had only Euro. Waiter refused to accept Euro and called his manager he does the same!! My freind asked ok let me go and change at exchange to be able pay off the bill. Again they refused!! Bad management couldnt find a solution for a small bill less then 100 AED and doesnt let my freind go!! Finally when he called me I asked him to give them Euro and asked them to go to exchange and you sit as hostage over there:) It was horrible and embarrassing experience!

Always busy which can make it hard for seating and always feel cramped. Their fresh baked goods never dissapoint but their coffee is inconsistent. Overall usually a good experience and makes me always come back
