We stopped for about 40 minutes on a tour and it was not enough. As mentioned there are areas showing how life was lived, trades and so on. There is enough to keep you occupied for an hour or more - especially if you visit the trades and talk to the people there - really very interesting.

The village is located in the break water area where the biggest flag of UAE located ,You will learn every cultural life, style of living, custom, early days history, value of Emiratis, so and so. Not alot to see here in terms of heritage apart from some old photos and tents. The place does have a very nice beach with beautiful blue water. very relaxing. some restaurants are here too and the entrants is free. avoid going during the day as it gets super hot and hard to walk over the sand. short opening times too check before you go.

Its a nice place to be in to know more about the early life style and culture of Abu Dhabi. This is not a very big place like Al Ain museum but it has all the small details what one is looking for.Heritage village is located near marina back water easily accessible by car or taxi and if you are going on weekends. i doubt there will be a scarcity of parking space as the place will be filled with lots of tourist buses. I suggest to plan your visit between 3:30 and 5:30 as its the opening hours on Fridays. If you are going by City bus get down at Marina mall and take a walk of about 10 minutes. Inside the village you will see tourists from all over the world and hardly a few locals. This place has got a small museum, a souq that makes handicrafts models of fisherman huts, a tomb( well don get excited) and some boats and miniatures. There are some animals like ducks, cats and we even found a bunny there. and some cattle too. There is a small setting of a desert camp with a camel and you can enjoy the camel ride for 10 Dhs . Also there is a restaurant and some souvenir shops. Overall its a nice place to spend 2 hrs and to learn something different. Of course its worth a visit and the entry is free.. hurrah :-)

If you are not expecting much, this place will be fine. It gives a brief overview of the past time and traditions. It also offers the only real camel downtown. The best might be the view of the skyline. Parking can be sometimes a bit difficult. I went through the whole place in 30-45 minutes. Free entrance and no parking fees.

Время работы на фото. Вход бесплатный. Мне наверное не повезло, было много туристов из Китая. Вход был открыт в пятницу с 15,30, но если в ресторан, то пустят. Экспозиция бедная, что удивительно, при богатстве страны, манекены из папье-маше, хижины натуралистичные, грязные и попахивают :) Но в общем познавательно, особенно редкие фото на стенах интересны. Жаль не попал в оружейную мастерскую, многие пункты были закрыты.
