My wife and I stayed for one night only. After the long drive, we thought check-in was slow and drawn out (25 minutes). Our room was very nice and comfortable, good air conditioning (quiet), and good amenities. We had booked the sunset camel ride and were somewhat disappointed. We only had a ride around a valley, no going up sand dunes, so we missed the sunset. I guess no one mentioned it was at sunset but not that we would see it. We should have stayed in our room to see the sunset over the dunes. The staff are very polite and very good English and quite knowledgeable. We had drinks at the pool which was extremely pleasant. We are both vegetarian but only meals available was pasta, so we decided not to have dinner. The breakfast buffet was nice although service was slow to get coffee. It was a shame no tables were set up outside or cleaned as it was a pleasant morning and not too hot. We went for a walk up the dunes which was pleasant. Checkout was fast.

Room, hotel/pool facilities are good. The activities are nice, the restaurants however are very disappointing ... and overpriced !!! The greeting at the reception was a bit strange (too many arrivals at the same time). The couple massage was nice. The quality of the food should be improved especially for the prices charged as it is a remote location with beautiful landscape but the food would not make us go back anytime soon unfortunately...

if you want peace and tranquility and to get away fro it all, this is definitely the place to go. set in the dunes of the empty quarter, this imposing building suddenly appears after a 10 minute drive off of the road and into the desert. the staff are attentive and always willing to go out of their way to help, the rooms are stunning and the pool is a welcome escape from the heat. its a definite bucket list location

I went here for my honeymoon and it was just perfect. An nice escape with nothing but dunes surrounding you. We got unlucky with the weather, but we were still able to squeeze in horseriding and dune boarding. The rooms were beautiful and spacious, with an enormous bathtub. I would highly recommend for a romantic getaway!

This beautiful hotel is the perfect holiday destinations if your looking for variety. Qasr Al Sarab has great tennis courts, luxuries swimming pools and everything you would expect to find at a 5 star hotel. However, they have the wonderfull addition of a number of activities ranging from fun camel rides to educational falcon shows. At this desert resorts you will receive world class service and food with extremely friendly staff, especially the activity guides.

Amazing luxurious desert staying experience! The hotel is located in the Middle of the Rub al Khali desert (empty quarter) 3 hrs away From Dubai. All you see around is Sand! dunes up to 200meters high. We went mid April and the weather was warm but dry. Hotel is quite expensive but the service was very good and the restaurant were good as well. Great experience!

Everything bout this location just screams Romantic,Tranquil and Heaven!!!. I booked this location for my 5th Anniversary and the 2 days spent here was just Bliss!!.The staff were very polite...we were take care of the moment we stepped out of the car. Thanks Bobby,made the check in process so easy. The evening desert walk was a great experience,our guide Marina made it a trip to remember. The Breakfast at Al Waha was super...you are just spoilt for choice!!. We had dinner at Suhail..was just so perfect. Hats off to the Chef I dont think I have had a perfect stake..yet!.The staff is just amazing,waiters very polite...and observant and assist you whenever u need it(even if you dont know it) The journey to get there is long...But the experience you get there is totally worth it.Truly a Jewel in the middle of the Big Dunes of Liwa. Thank you all

I usually never write any reviews. Have stayed in a couple of Anantara Resorts in different regions and have always been extremely satisfied with their service and hospitality. But I have to admit that Anantara Qasr al Sarab has won my heart and forced me to finally write my lifes first hotel review!!! Outstanding service & hospitality. I booked their Pool Villa to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday and I am so glad that I chose them to host it!! From the detailed decorations of the villa & the lunch table setup for his birthday to the yummy cake & complementary fruits and dates platters set-up in the room with a lovely birthday card...and not to forget the happy birthday balloons scattered in the room...it all made his day so special!! Everyone from the staff knew it was his birthday and they all wished him so warmly that it really touched our hearts!! Mr. Imran took us for the Desert Safari and he was a thorough gentleman who really made sure that I was alright and not feeling sick ( I have migraine issue so at times rides make me feel sick). The birthday dinner at their Steakhouse was superb... the staff including the chef made sure that we enjoy the dinner to the fullest!! We woke up 10 mins before the breakfast time ends and the staff was kind enough to keep the buffet for us and give us enough time to have our breakfast and not haste!! These little gestures and special treatments really makes one so happy and comfortable that you really feel proud and satisfied that you made the right decision!! A big thank you to Ms.Theresa who had arranged everything for us and made sure that my husband enjoys his 40th birthday...which he really did!!! I wish Anantara Qasr al Sarab and their team all the best and may Allah reward them with His best.

I real escape. In the middle of nowhere, took us about 80 minutes to drive there from Abu Dhabi. But when you arrive it really is an oasis in the desert. We went in summer when it was quieter and there were deals. Luckily the place was quiet and peaceful, so it was very relaxing. There were a few restaurants around the hotel, all a little expensive, but are you are stranded in the middle of nowhere they are worth it. If you do visit i recommend you take a lot of fruit, milk,cereal, etc, and keep it in your room for the stay. It is nice to be able to snack without calling room service.

A fantastic resort.. An amazing experience.. 10km deep into the Liwa Desert, this resort by Anantara is completely surrounded by golden sands and some of the most amazing picturesque sand dunes.. We stayed here for a couple of nights towards the end of our Abu Dhabi trip last year. Its about a 3 hour drive from Abu Dhabi itself, and when you get close to the location, you need to go off the main road, and travel about 10km to this resort in the middle of the sand dunes. When you arrive at the entrance, your almost in awe of the amazing palace like entrance and the views surrounding this vast resort. We stayed in a Deluxe Terrace Room, which comes with an outside terrace. You can see the photos on the Anantara website.. but I must say the room was fantastic and the view from the terrace even more so.. The lobby area is on another level.. loads of ornaments and decorations, a library, and shops all to make your stay even better. Considering the resort is in the desert I suppose they need all the facilities on site, as there isnt much chance of you getting out anywhere to do other things.. Hotel provides activities such as desert safari, quad biking etc, so there is plenty to do.. The service provided by the staff was fantastic.. we were made to feel very welcome during our whole stay.. extremely friendly staff throughout the hotel and restaurants. The restaurants were a little pricey for the variety of food that was available.. but I guess that is expected when there is nothing else around in the near vicinity.. Its not like we could drive out to town for a quick meal or something.. Overall, we loved this resort.. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone who is looking for something unique.

Amongst the enchanting reddish dunes of Liwa, and at the gate of the Empty Quarter, lies this spectacular 5-star desert resort. It is the epitome of what a resort in a Bedouin desert would be like. Authentic to the Arabian history in its design, it offers a range of desert activities. I highly recommend the camel riding at sunrise or sunset to experience how the Bedouins traveled and appreciate the beauty of the desert in magnificent sunlight. The food is excellent as well. I recommend dinner at Al Falaj: a cool dining experience on the dunes in an outdoors Arabian majilis setting.

Absolutely stunning hotel set among breathtaking scenery. Staff go out of their way to make your stay a perfect holiday. Food is devine, rooms are beautifully and tastefully furnished and gardens are immaculate. Prices are very reasonable for a super luxury 5star. Could not find even one fault! its located 2 hours drive from Abu dhabi and we had our 2 year old with us so it was very reassuring to know that a doctor is on site 24 hours a day as well as a helicopter and pilot to fly you to hospital in case of emergency. 10/10, needless to say, we cant wait to return.

Traumhaftes Wüstenhotel 1001 Nacht in der wunderschönen Liwa Oase. Abseits dem modernen Dubai wird hier hochkarätige Hotelleistung und - Service geboten. Vom ersten Moment bis zur Abreise habe ich mich sehr wohl gefühlt wie einem Wüstenschloss mit Balkon Aussicht auf roten bis goldgelben Sand. Sehr warmes trockenes Klima gut geignet zur Linderung von Knochenbeschwerden. Fazit: Ein Traum!
