go there when weather is good. many kind of animals and the birds show. aha penguins as well now. do not visit after or during rain. they does not do bird show and horse riding. you have to walk long so be ready for that or pay extra to hire small rides.

There are lot of difference from last visit I made. I spent more time than last visit and this time I was able to see only few animals. Many areas are seen empty. The area is big and have to walk a lot ( paid carts available ) but the experience is not satisfactory, specially for kids. I took my 2 1/2 old son because he is fond of animals. But he is not at all excited except on one or two animals.

A good zoo with most of the animals you wish to see there. Very informative and has a vast coverage area. The best time would be winter to go there. Be aware that you need a full day to cover the whole area and enjoy the zoo. There is water, juices and snacks available. There are also washroom facilities!

The variety of animals here is very good, never go in the summer however, its scorching hot and all the animals are hiding in the shades. Definitely dont eat at the restaurant over there, the food there is simply not suitable for human beings!! My 3 year old son got a heartburn when he ate the fries, and their mix grill was simply not edible!

One of the best Zoos that Ive visited. Animals are in very well treated and kept, like they are in their natural habitat. Some of the endangered animals are also here. The place overall is very well maintained clean and organized. Theres a lot to walk but you can have a golf cart like drive also if you pay extra. A must visit on UAE.

Nice zoo... almost on the lines of the Singapore zoo. Needs a lot of refinement still. Animal enclosures are good but still can be better. No stink as found in many other zoos. For Aed 30 as basic admission it is a bargain. The zoo management must include more entertaining shows at various points in the zoo. More informative kiosks to tell people about the animals would be interesting.

A very well maintained zoo. Nice place to visit with your family. There is a learning center in the zoo. You need to pay additional charge to visit it. It has the records and documentation of the extinct species found in the region. And there is information about the land formations. There is a safari too. Which requires to be purchased separately.

What can I say, just beautiful. Visited Al Ain Zoo only once but will have good memories for life. I guess this is the biggest zoo in UAE, you can walk there for a few hours and still see something new around. Many different animals, birds, snakes and many others. Would love to visit this place again.

Great place to visit. Despite of the distance from Dubai, it is one of the very few Zoo I have ever been allowing you to feed giraffes 30AED for 4 people including access and food for them. Some days is offered free train ride which shows you main piece of the zoo. Would be good to replace cage with glass wall allowing visitors taking better pictures. Ensure you have cash as they have always difficulties with credit cards - devices dont connect. At the entrance there is an ATM. Food quality at main restaurant is oki price vs quality. Minus star as they could offer more attractions with animals (riding, feeding, learning etc).

It was too hot and most animals were hiding, but in general it was a nice zoo. The sunset African safari was very nice. Our guides were in a really good mood. We were the only ones on the safari so we got to feed the giraffes a lot and pet them.

Al Ain Zoo is one of the few places to visit in Al Ain which is more than 100 kms away from either Dubai or Abu Dhabi. So going there means you need to make sure you make the most out of it. Ive been here twice, the first time feels like a wonderful experience because it was winter and the animal looks comfortable in their cages but the second time around we went, it was summer and you can barely see the animals coming out of the shade and when you look at their faces, youll just pity them. Im not an animal lover in any way, I like eating them but if youre not going to kill them for meat then at least dont make them suffer.

Plan a great day out. In the heat of the day take a historic tour around the education building its worth the extra, with lots of interactive displays you will be there for hours. A small cafe and souvenirs outlet. The animals all look happy with some enclose airconditioned displays. Penguins are a delight. Some extra attractions which we couldnt fit in to our 6hour stay. Lunch at the main cafe was reasonably priced and tasted good. Drinks machines around the zoo. Be warned you will need a hat or umbrella!!

The zoo is well maintained and all the staff is friendy. They have too many animals from all over the world, in fact the whole day is not enough to travel around the 400 hectare zoo. Ive been here many times during holidays and weekends.

We came today to Al Ain, specially from Al Aqah ( 3 hours by car), to visit the Zoo. Yesterday evening i looked opening hours on their internet site. It was from 6 pm to 10 pm. We came at 8pm and it was closed!!! And information on the door: opened every day from 6pm to 10 pm!!! My child cried! 6 hours way for nothing! some others cars came but turned back beacause was closed. What I see now? Today they changed schedule on their site without preventing yesterday! VERY VERY disappointed from this place!!!
