Our second visit and surely not our last! The place was full this time around. But service was just as good as ever. Staff are friendly and service is quick. There is a shopping place close by so dont worry for supplies. Kids enjoyed the swimming pool a lot. We enjoyed the sauna, steam, jacuzzi and the splash pool. The separate olympic sized pool was amazing too. Cant wait to be here again!

This is not a 5 star hotel. The carpet in the hotel rooms are filthy. The toilet barely flushed causing the bathrooms to reap of old urine. The hallways on all floors were Smokey. The family pool closed at 7:30pm, which is too early because in the desert most people come out in the evening. The buffet food looked dry and unpleasing to the eye. I had to request face towels every night. My room had ants crawling above the headboard and on the bed. They did change my room, but put another guest in the same room later that night. My room was not serviced one day. The food from the pub was mediocre. The room and hotel is outdated and need to be modernized.

When we first visited this beautiful resort it was awesome starting from the check in moment as you are welcomed with a fresh orange juice , the service , room, view and all facilities were a 5 star quality. However , it completely changed in our last visit recently, the service was very poor ,we got a different room from that we reserved, waited for hours to get our room cleaned, check out with no one to carry our luggage.Not to mention that the big swimming pool was not warm enough to swim.

To me this resort should not be categorised as 5 star. Firstly, the hotel is quite old and the rooms arent big enough compare to other hotel of same category. Secondly, room carpet wasnt cleaned as it should be. Thirdly, it took 2 hours for me to check in. Long queue was there at the reception with absolute chaos. However, breakfast was awesome.

The place has a dated look... maybe got the 5 stars 20 years ago. However, the rooms are large, airy and clean... very comfortable. The pool was nice and the lap pool is a welcome luxury for serious swimmers. Staff was polite and helpful (The saving grace of the facility). Full marks to them. Restaurants were ok. Breakfast is good to have on the first day, but the menu was more or less unchanged for the 3 days we stayed there. Tanjore ( their Indian restaurant) was ok, however the biryani was far from perfect, served mushy almost like baby food. The highlight was the terrible pastry shop. The cakes were the awful... no wonder they go for half price after 10!!

Let me start by saying that this hotel used to be the Inter Continental Hotel before the new management started operating it. I stayed there for 1 night with my wife and honestly its one of the best hotels Ive been to around the world. The food, staff, green environmental, cleanliness, price, room size, room service, check it/out speed, well really everything was near perfect. The Oasis restaurant has a nice outdoor seating, and weather in January was COLD! Luckily, the restaurant has outdoor heaters. Plus, its fairly cheap! Jabal Hafeet is around 30 minutes away from the Hotel by car.

The Danat is a beautiful property. It used to be an Intercontinental before being purchased by a local company. Grounds and garden are the most impressive in Al Ain. There is a 33 meter lap pool, in addition to a free form pool and a kids pool Restaurants are disappointing. The best on the site seems to be the Horse and Jockey Pub which has decent bar food and a nice view of the grounds and pool. Spa is quite good, with newly remodeled steam room and sauna. The corps of Thai massage therapists is good (Try Supa). The staff, however, can be surly and rude, and prices can be very high for Al Ain.

Hi My name is Sharon Isaacs. I did not visit your hotel. But my daughter did. How can I give you a review, you may ask? Because she had just left our country, she was in a new country, away from her family and it was her birthday. By the time I found out where she was staying, it was too late for me to make arrangements to have a cupcake with a candle on it sent up to her room at midnight, as is tradition in our family. I did not want her to be sad on her first birthday away from home so soon after leaving home. She had arrived in Abu Dhabi just 1 week before. It was 11:30 pm your time. But I tried anyway. I stated my case in an email and hoped for the best. Midnight came and went but nothing happened. Well I had tried. To my surprise my daughter sent me a video clip on the evening of her birthday and told me that a strange man had followed her from the front desk. And when she reached her room, he gave her a big bunch of hellium balloons with compliments from the hotel. WOW!!! That was way better than a cupcake. I would like to thank the Danat Hotel, Al Ain, Abu Dhabi for making my daughter feel so special on her birthday, while she was far away from us, in a foreign land. GOD bless you for being such a blessing to my family. That is why I give you 5 giant glitter stars.
