Stuart CloughTerrible. I left the UAE some years ago, and have been unable to close my account and withdraw my money. It seems impossible. Phone communication - people are not authorised to discuss. The secure communication line in net-banking is locked out. Email communications are rejected because of "security risks". Visiting HSBC branches in other countries is "not possible as they are different businesses". I have submitted closure forms, properly notarised by mail - but these appear to be ignored and no-one will talk to me to confirm if they have been received, ignored, rejected or whatever. In reality, my money is frozen (no STOLEN) by HSBC. DO NOT ENTRUST THIS BANK WITH YOUR MONEY. by comparison NBAD was a pleasure to deal with, and much cheaper on transaction fees.

Dhannya PaulIf you want shoddy service and a nonchalant attitude when it comes to dealing with their customers, you have found the one! The worst service bank i have come across to date. Customer relationship manager, customer service and other departments i have had to deal with made me appreciate banking system in third world countries would be better. They dont care about individual customers and they never will. I gave them multiple chances to redeem themselves in vain. AVOID USING ADCB... you have been warned.
