Kama Azlan Muhammadwe had bad experience tonight and will not come back. We left the restaurant after feeling we were being disrespected and was talked down condescendingly by the manager Francis. We dined in this restaurant on many occasions, and have had a wonderful dining experience before. So we decided to dine in expecting wonderful service and food before picking up my son arriving from Dubai from his Du Laliga practice at Dubai Sevens. We have never met this manager before. We have the Entertainer and we wanted to use two coupons despite being only three of us as my daughter plans to have two main courses (as the portion is quite small, which was ok). We know it is up to the discretion of the manager as we have had this done at other restaurant and it was fine. The manager came, and without greeting or welcoming us to the restaurant, we were rudely talked down and terms like you do not know the rules comes from his mouth. He was impatient, and brushed us off, and we felt mistreated as if we do not have the monies to pay for an upscale meal in an upscale restaurant. We felt judged and therefore, we would not be spending a dime in this establishment as our hard earned monies can be spent at other places of good reputation that shall treat us with respect. I think we deserved to be respected, as we are well educated professionals and we are very good at our job. We worked hard and sincerely for the monies so no, 23 will not allow a Restaurant Manager to talk down to us. We respect the rules, and we would have gladly complied. We left not because of the Entertainer rules, we left because we were condescendingly talked down.

Abdulla AlkaabiLovely Japanese restaurant. They have outdoor tables, with amazing sea view of Almqtaa area and Sheikh Zayed Bridge. For your main course go for black cod , and for your sushi dont miss the maki roll with beef.

Humberto VenturaDined alone while the restaurant was quite empty. The service was excellent and the food was amazing! Everything I had was perfectly cooked and very tasty. It is a bit expensive but cheaper than Nobu. I will definitely come back her if ever back in Abu Dhabi.

abror76One of the worst restaurant experience Ive had in a while. It took 2 hours and 20 minutes to get the food! Also, the appetizers/soup were coming in random order and in random times. When the concern was expressed to the restaurant manager, his response was "thats the Japanese Way". A colleague of mine ordered an order of edamame (salty green soybeans, equivalent to ordering peanuts) which took more than two hours to get it on the table. I guess they actually grew the beans, digged out the salt from a mine and served it super fresh that it took that long. The servers were all kind of confused too, messed up the orders, then the checks, etc. Long story short, I wouldnt advise spending your money at this place.

Jamal AlhameliIf youre looking for a authentic Japanese cuisine, then this is the place. I would definitely recommend the Bluefin Tuna & Salmon sashimi. Pleasant atmosphere and excellent service.

David MesquitaAuthentic Japanese atmosphere from the staff, quiet restaurant with great food. Let me expand on the above statement. The restaurant deco and how the staff great and serve you is very authentic which in turn makes for a great experience, unfortunately the restaurant is not very busy. The food is superb. I had never heard of Robata before visiting this restaurant. It seems to be very similar to yakitori. I tried the Robata Asparagus, Satoimo and Enoki. All very good, the tastiest of all where the small tender chicken cakes, I know it sounds a bit boring but when chicken is done well it can be so tasty. I also tried the grilled squid which is a big portion and the black cod fillet. The rolls were also good and seemed freshly prepared. However because it is not a sushi counter style restaurant we didnt see them being made but what you do see and experience if you sit at the counter is the robata grilling process and a thrilling and surprising experience when food is served to you via a long wooden spatula. It is on the expensive side this restaurant but if you are looking for authentic Japanese service and good food for a treat once in a while this would be a good place to go.

Как только кто-то заходит, весь персонал (включая поваров) издает характерный выкрик, означающий приветствие. Очень интересное оформление. В зале, в котором мы сидели, потолки были сделаны из пустых бутылок сакэ. Очень необычно. Ах да, там мы отмечали мой день рождения. И должен вам сказать, что меня еще нигде и никогда так не поздравляли. Сначала нас всех вызвали на show-kitchen station (бар, где за стойкой вы можете наблюдать как готовят повара) под предлогом того, что шеф повар хочет устроить какое-то шоу. Когда мы все собрались, шеф повар начал бить друг о друга два куска древесины (как мне потом объяснили, таким образом японцы изгоняют злых духов), а потом начал бодро (что-то говорить на японском). Только когда начали переводить его слова, я понял что они поздравляют меня с днем рождения. Потом все повара и официанты присоединились к шеф-повару и начали стучать кусочками древесины и сыграли нехитрую мелодию. Потом все дружно (даже другие посетители) спели Happy birthday для меня. Сказать, что я был счастлив - ничего не сказать. Это действительно было что-то необычное. Стоит ли говорить, что еда была отменная?)) Ресторан просто 10/10. Настойчиво рекомендую!
