I would rarely rate 5 stars but our staycation at St Regis was just perfect. Amazing service, best that I have ever experienced. When they say family friendly they really mean it. The small touches like a nice cot and cute baby towel for bubs were appreciated. Amazing facilities, the kids loved the splash play area and the family pool was amazing. Fantastic spread for breakfast. Driving back home we really felt like we were coming back from a holiday.

I went for Easter Sunday Buffet lunch. Price was reasonable and you get a huge variety of choices of food and drinks. The wine that was available on my package was disappointing though. There was only one choice of white and red and werent very nice to the palate. I recommend the Magharita. There was also live band singing popular western music.

So .. we only stayed one night but it was awesome. Quality hotel in Abu Dhabi.. it is good for families, couples and business travelers. Room tip: ask for a high floor with a sea view ideally on the right side of the hotel .. this means you get more son. Tips: the gym is very good .. very very good, Bright: one of the beach staff makes a great Long Island ... again highly recommended! The breakfast is simply epic!!

Breakfast was included in the price, we decided to have it in the room which ended up to be then charged twice. The reason given is, unbeknownst to customers, the providers are different between room breakfast and the lobby. Therefore, contrary to any decent five star hotel in the world, room service breakfast is double the price (it ended up costing close to aed 600 / USD 170 for a continental breakfast for two) I hate to be ripped off. I liked the hotel, and I am saddened to say that once I have been shafted, I tend never to come back.

We chose the St Regis on Saadiyat Island for the first week of our Honeymoon and from the very moment that we were greeted by the front of house team upon our arrival we were made to feel incredibly special. The hotel itself is magnificent, grand, opulent, stylish, large and yet it is incredibly tranquil, Every facility or service you could require is available. The hotel is immaculate, well maintained and kept incredibly clean inside and out. Our room was large and luxurious with good views, we both thought that we had possibly the most relaxing week of our lives during our stay here. The restaurants are beautiful, the food is excellent and the service is of the highest quality, eating here is a pleasure and a perfect way to start the evening. Throughout our stay, every single member of staff we spoke to and liaised with were exceptionally professional, polite, competent and their main concern was ensuring that the guests were happy and that every request was fulfilled to the highest of standards. Our personal concierge was Amit, an intelligent and charming man, who ensured that our stay was special, we didn’t request any of the services available so every day he made sure that he spoke with us and throughout our stay he did lots of thoughtful, kind and sometimes funny things to ensure our stay was made even more special. The front of house and security team is superb, professional, efficient yet friendly and accommodating, one of the lobby doormen is also named Amit, a very professional and calm guy that always makes the time to ensure that the guests are ok whilst still directing everything around him, he provided one of the most friendly and warm welcomes we have ever received to a hotel and throughout our stay he spoke with us every time we passed to see if everything was ok with our stay. Throughout our stay, from the moment we were welcomed into the Hotel we felt safe, as we walked outside around the hotel complex we also felt safe, Abu Dhabi has relatively low crime rates anyway but the abundance of visible yet friendly and unimposing security staff around the hotel complex is reassuring, I have no doubts that if required they would be extremely competent. We have stayed in many good hotels around the world but the management and staff at this St Regis have taken customer service and guest satisfaction to another level, the management and staff here have really focused on the guests experience, its not about ticking boxes, it’s a far more personal level of service that’s provided. There are many good hotels all carrying 5 stars, This is not a good Hotel, its a great hotel, separated from the rest by superb customer service and amazing guest experience.

Reservation was poor. I confirmed on the phone that there would be a DJ, but when I reached there(with my date), there was no music and no alcohol(dry night) because of a religious occasion. This would be great to mention on the phone especially when asked about and emphasized! - the atmosphere was very good outdoors, very suitable for couples. - food quantity was a joke. I had to order twice! - prices were as expected from a five stat restaurant. - they made a mistake and gave me someone elses bill(double mine). I recommend it for couples, but not for dining. Maybe for coffee :) coffe was great!

Amazing resort, its the best hotel in Abu Dhabi from my point of view, as I have been to most of the 5* hotels in Abu Dhabi. Rooms interior & bathrooms are gorgeous, Pools and the beach are amazing, the kids club is one of the best with every thing your kids can imagine. The lobby is fantastic. Its the best hotel I have stayed in at Abu Dhabi!

I stayed at the St Regis Saadyat Island in Dubai 24-27 December. Unfortunately the stay was a disaster for our family over Christmas and my wifes birthday on the 26th. These complaints were made to several of the staff and yet I have heard nothing back from the hotel management. This just compounds my disgust at a supposed 5 star hotel. So lets consider the hotel. We were in room 686 if I remember rightly. The handbasin was cracked and the level of cleanliness very poor. My personal preference is for a firmer mattress, when we requested this we had 2 wooden boards placed in the bed directly under the sheets, from the sublime to the ridiculous in one step. If it had been cleaner it would have been more comfortable to sleep on the floor, needless to say we had the boards removed. There is ingrained food under the tables on the breakfast terrace, not just from the day or the last couple of days but because the terrace does not appear to be clean. The sunshade at the lower family pool we were given was very worn out and torn in places.... not a pleasant or functioning sun shade. We booked a tennis court, we were asked to be at the reception 10 minutes early as they would drive us to the courts, at about 25 minutes past the time the cart came. Only because the valets were frantically trying to find someone in the hotel who could help. When we eventually got to the courts it was locked as it was a pool attendant who drove us there. Can I remind you you are a very expensive 5* hotel and I do not expect this. I travel regularly and am a Marriott Platinum Elite member. (I did join SPG but do not expect to use this ever again) Now lets consider the service. We wrote to the Butler service and requested and extra bed for my 10 year old son, as well as specifying this at the booking. We had a positive response from the butler service. We reminded the lady on check in (Cammel?) and she said "No problems it will be taken care of at the time the beds are turned" and we went to Dinner returning late as it was xmas eve. The bed was not there, we called and someone came and made the couch up. Not what we ordered or expected (and were willing to pay for). I got a letter demanding extra payment against my credit card, I do not expect to get this sort of demand after 1 day, either take more or trust your partners Elite Members to pay up... a slight on my honesty and a waste of my vacation time. Your front desk is elaborate but slow. When at last it was time to check out I ordered a concierge to get my familys bags from the room, it never came and I had to rder another after the 90 minute check out process. I made the mistake of being honest and mentioned we had had a bottle of water from the fridge that night. The system then stared billing my credit card multiple times a minute for the 24 AED the water cost until I called the Duty Manager to stop this nonsense and help me get my bill and check out. It had taken the front desk 3 attempts to bill me by now. I made these complaints to a number of people in the hotel including the restaurant manager about the state of cleanliness and to the from desk as soon as he asked "Did I have a nice stay" when I said "NO" and explained my dismay (I had not yet discovered his incompetence) he did not take any notice and just said "sorry he would take note, which he obviously didnt). All in all a 1* stay for a 5* price. Unlikely to ever be repeated but certainly to be included on reviews. Jim Massey

Great location, beautiful hotel BUT... The athletics club is a complete letdown and totally overpriced for what it is, with the most expensive pool access in Abu Dhabi. Looking for a 25m-pool - The Westin offers unbeatable rates for access to their training pool. No need to overpay just for a brand name. Lets hope the new Rotana, Rixos or Saadiyat Beach Resort will offer better options once they open their doors on Saadiyat Island. This will mean the St Regis wont have the monopoly any longer and residence of Saadiyat looking for training pools will have more options that doesnt limit them to emptying their wallets. Boo!
