Do you want the TRUTH or a polished response to make people feel good?
The TRUTH is, service APPEARS good, but needs to improve if they are to be efficient. No offence to people who work hard and actually CARE about the quality of their job and go the extra mile to do a good job,not look like theyve ticked the boxes!!
My husband left my computer and bag on the terminal and we noticed it was missing as soon as we boarded our plane. All our attempts to have it found started 10 minutes after we lost it. Etihad SAID they rang the terminal staff and I can claim it in AMMAN if it is found, and Im to go to baggage services there for more info.
Long story short 2 months later we found out the Abu Dhabi police picked it up and registered it as lost.
We tried to claim it but the police store was closed 2 days in EVERY week and when it is open it closes by 2 pm. When travelling in and out of the country with booked flights / accommodations / work commitments - THAT makes it really hard to claim a lost item. We asked Etihad to pick it up for us and gave all requested security papers. They say the police should have told me it was AUCTIONED 2 WEEKS AFTER IT WAS FOUND and Im not the only one that is not provided with the full information of where our missing items are. If the computer was switched on it would have told the finder how to contact me. (iCloud sends message) NO ONE TRIED. Police should know these things. ETIHAD failed to suggest there even was a police that may have picked it up until I arrived back in Abu Dhabi 2 months after I lost it. Police service could be improved not to mention Etihad!!!
