Fantastic hotel, great facilities and above all else the staff throughout the hotel are highly professional, helpful, welcoming and offer a 100% genuine warm greeting whatever you do. Wherever you are in the hotel the staff to guest ratio is perfect hence the great and attentive service. We stayed in a Horizon Club room with lounge access, this was perfect and included a great breakfast with lovely egg menu as well as a good choice of other breakfast foods. The club lounge also served evening canapés and free drinks for 2 hours. The pool area was superb with an infinity pool with a view of the Grand Mosque. The pool attendants where first class, laying towels on beds on arrival, every guest is given unlimited bottled water in a small cool box, regular cold flannels and sun glass cleaning, all nice little touches that make this a nice place to stay. Plenty of food choice in the hotel as well as in the Souk attached to the hotel, catering for all tastes and budgets. All round a great place to stay, we will definitely be returning.

Beautiful Shanri-La.Much much better than the one in Dubai.The staff and the service were amazing..The food was amazing...Seafood night was delish...with king prawns,lobsters and steaks cooked to your liking in front of you.And if something was not quite right Mr Amin-was the man (the great manager)who will try to sort it out for you.The horizon club was a nice touch ..with small bites and refreshments to prepare you for the lavish and abandon Arabic cuisine dinners.Highly recommend you to stay there despite the 40 degrees at this time of the year.

This is one of our favourite hotels in the UAE. Its got a beautiful setting overlooking the Abu Dhabi Grand Mosque, the rooms whilst not ultra modern are tastefully decorated and very spacious and most important the staff are friendly and attentive and weve never had a bad stay at a Shangri La Hotel and weve stayed in several.

Definitely not - regret that from lunchtime to dusk the locals with there modified extremely noisy jet skis gather on the beach opposite the pool area & race round for hours creating a hidious noise that frankly ruins the experience.

Hands down, the best hotel i have ever stayed at! Everything about this hotel was perfection.. and im not even exaggerating. I went for the Horizon Club King Deluxe room,and it was the best decision ever! Room: Peefection - from the beautiful view from the balcony, to the fantastic bathroom, and perhaps the most comfortable bed ive slept on. Perfect ameneties! Service: lets just say i really enjoyed being treated like a queen. From the moment i arrived, to the moment i left the hotel - the service was excellent Horizon club: free flowing non alcoholic beverage and bite-sized food with a ridiculous view. Did i also mention that there is a gondola that connects the hotel to a beautiful souk? What an experience! Food: the breakfast buffet offers essentially everything you can imagine! Also, i would absolutely recommend Pearls and Caviar, by Sergi Arola - a Michelin star chef. Fantastic food with a very beautiful view. I cant say anymore good things about this hotel. Would come back in a heart beat!

If you want luxury, elegance and outstanding service you have found your spot! My wife and I stayed in a Studio Residences located in a separate building a short walking distance from the main hotel. You can walk to the main hotel by a beautiful walkway in 5 minutes or hop on a gondola via the waterways flowing through the complex. The main pool has great views of the mosque and the nearby traders has a great beach bar and chill out areas (see my attached phtotos). The main compliment must go to the staff. They were all, with no exceptions, thoughtful, helpful and extremely welcoming. Nothing was too must trouble for them and I would return for that reason alone. The complete hotel complex with the buildings and the surrounding including the pool, was very good conditioned and super clean. The Souk next door is very handy for a cheap meal and Starbucks. Nothing else around nearby, but taxis are easy and cheap. Grand mosque is close and magnificent (must visit!). Highly recommended hotel in Abu Dhabi! Regards Svein-Magne Tunli from Bergen, Norway.

My wife and I stayed at the Shangri-La Hotel in Abu Dhabi last June during our honeymoon. It was an absolutely amazing experience. It was so good, we cant help but use it as the yardstick with which to measure all the other hotels weve stayed at since. Our experience was made very special by the wonderful staff who always had giant smiles on their faces, and really impressed us by always greeting us by name. Every time we returned to the hotel or left our room, we were welcomed with "hello Mr. Tyler", or "how can we help you Mr. Tyler?" They also constantly checked up on us and made sure our stay was going well. We also really enjoyed the nice touch of them bringing up a bottle of champagne for our honeymoon. The hotels decor is what I would describe as a combination of middle eastern airyness and architecture with an open Mediterranean feel, bringing in the sea. The lobby is beautiful, accented by a huge chandelier. The rooms are equally impressive, containing a fantastic bathroom with a bath tub Shamu would be happy in. The room had a very clean, open feel with tile floors that helped a lot with the heat. The bed was also very nice, huge and extremely comfortable. The view was also very nice. We had a picturesque view over the resort grounds, including the pools and man made river that runs through the complex, as well as across the real river to the enormous Mosque. The pools shared this view, as did the restaurant. It was very nice to sit by the pool with this view in the background. The grounds have a man made river on them, and little abra boats that they will ferry you around on between the hotel and nearby shopping, or just around in a circle of the resort if you like. We felt this was a very nice touch, especially romantic at night. I also really appreciated the shuttle service they offered that took us to the Mosque for the tour in the morning, and over to the mall for some shopping later in the day. The location is also quite convenient as there is a small mall like building next door with several nice shops and restaurants. We ate at Ushna, the Indian Restaurant, one night and were very happy with the food, especially the well balanced spiciness and the wine that was paired with it. The hotel was also very convenient for us to travel to Ferrari World and the Formula One Race track, both a short taxi ride away. They were also able to secure tickets for us at the concierge and arrange the transfers for us. We were not able to visit the spa during our stay, but really enjoyed the large pool, though it was nearly unbearable in the heat of late June. We ate breakfast twice at the buffet restaurant, Sofra Bld in the hotel. The selection was very good, and had something for every taste from traditional American style omelets and sausages to Chinese dishes. We also liked that the wait staff came around fairly often with specialty drinks of the morning including different juices. All the food was very good, and we admittedly ate far more than we needed to in 110 degree heat. It was on the pricey side, but you are paying the the convenience of eating in the hotel, and for breakfast, it was very good. Good enough at least to prevent us from looking anywhere else during our stay. Our favorite part was definitely how well the staff treated us, especially by taking the time to learn our names. Also, always greeting us with a smile and making sure we were enjoying our stay. Even the small things like a refreshing cool towel whenever we returned and tea tastings and dates in the lobby really made us glad to be staying there.

السلام عليكم ... اخواني انا اذا بتكلم عن فندق شانغريلا بتكلم عن تجربة 4 اشهر نعم انا سكنت في الفندق 4 اشهر ولليوم انا موجود ويمكن اطول في المده بحكم طبيعة عملي المهم ... الفندق ممتاز من غرف ورقي الغرف ومن خدمة تنظيف للغرف مرتين في اليوم المطام في الفندق ممتازه وبالاخص مطعم سفره وايد حلو وفي كوفي عند مدخل الفندق اليلسه فيه حلوه وتقدر تختار بين اليلسه برى على البالكونه او داخل+ المسبح و الاطلاله الجميله على البحر ومسجد الشيخ زايد + بار خارجي عند المسبح يقدم بعض الوجبات والعصائر وفي جلسه اكثر من رائعة على الشاطي وعندهم شيشه + وسوق قرية البري تقدر تمشي من الفندق من الخلف الى السوق وتقدر تطلب سيارة كلب كار من اللوبي توصلك لسوق بختصار الفندق جميل وانصح بزيارته وانصح اي عائلة عندهم اطفال يحجزون في الطابق الاول لسهولة الخروج من البالكونه على البحر حلو للاطفال يفتح البالكونه على البحر على طول .... الملاحظات : خدمة غسيل الملابس اقدر اقول انها جيده او مقبوله وخاصه في الكوي (الكي) لدرجة اني صرت اغسل ملابسي برى الفندق واسعار الغسيل غاليه وخياليه اسعار الغرف : نعم مرتفعه نوعا ما ....
